Than to dilute a varnish for fingernails or nails if he has thickened or has dried up?

It's very difficult to imagine a modern girl without manicure. And even more difficult to imagine the variety of means for nail care. Various oils, creams, amazing tools and, of course, lacquers of all kinds of shades. But sooner or later, every lady encounters the fact that at the very moment when a specific color is needed, it turns out to be withered. Than to dilute a varnish for nails in such situation? And how to prevent, though temporary, but still damage the lacquer? Let's talk about everything further.

What is the reason?

To begin with, we need to understand why there are such metamorphoses in general with lacquer. The fact is that with the so-called drying out of the varnish the liquid evaporates, which is why it first thickens and begins to lie unevenly and with bubbles, and then completely stops to be applied. This is a consequence of natural processes, but the lacquer can still deteriorate due to banal inattention and incorrect treatment: temperature drops (storage in heat or cold) also negatively affect this remedy. There are several ways to save the varnish, we'll talk about them later.

How to avoid?

Before considering how to dilute the nail polish, it is worth mentioning how to properly store it. First, you do not need to experiment with the temperature during storage - the most optimal is the usual, room. When applying varnish to nails, it is also best to avoid exposure to extreme temperatures. So, painting your nails at an open flame, from which the heat comes, will not be the best idea: it does not contribute to the long-term preservation of the coating.

From time to time, it is worthwhile to shake each of the bottles, just to prevent drying. And yet, no matter how trite it sounds, you need to use lacquers as often as possible: when you open the bottle inside gets oxygen, which activates the chemical processes in the varnish, not allowing the varnish to thicken and wither. In addition, to increase this very influx of oxygen, before closing the bottle it is necessary to blow inside.

Use of diluents

Before diluting the thickened nail polish with the products so widely used at home, you can use the special liquids that are offered by manufacturers of varnishes, so-called diluents. Like any cosmetics, they are divided into professional and public, the first, of course, much more effective, although they are much more expensive.

It is enough to add a few drops of diluent in a bottle of varnish, shake the bottle, and the varnish will become like new. The diluent will not last more than a month, but due to the fact that it needs very little, one standard bottle can last for several years. Keep this remedy also needed at room temperature - hypothermia for it is deadly dangerous.

Adding clear varnish

Secondly, if the lacquer has thickened, you can add a little transparent lacquer to it, although this method is not particularly long-lasting. When mixed, the colorless lacquer pulls on itself the pigment from the colored pigment and fixes it on the nail. There is enough of one such blending for one or two stains, so you will have to use this method on a regular basis.

Adding a means for removing varnish, acetone and other solvents

The third way is the most common: even in the Soviet Union, women knew how to dilute the dried nail polish. In a jar with spoiled varnish, a little money was added to remove it - a sort of household analogue of the diluent. However, when using the product with acetone, the lacquer will be erased much faster, so this should be taken into account. Half a bottle of varnish will have to use a quarter teaspoon of acetone or a means to remove the varnish without it. By the way, it can be replaced with a usual household solvent - this method is one of the cheapest, but, importantly, very dangerous. You can not only get chemical burns when the concentration of the solvent in the varnish is exceeded, but also poison with chemical vapors. In addition, no one excludes that the varnish will be completely unsuitable for use.

Increase in degree

The next household way, also well-known, is warming up. What do they do with jam that thickens? That's right, put the jar with it in hot water for a while. In no case can not use boiling water - glass bottles are unlikely to appreciate this temperature difference. The varnish will really become more liquid.

Another interesting feature of this method is that in no case can you shake a bottle - then the effect of a soda, in which bubbles also appear after shaking, will work. That is, in principle, it is not necessary to know what to dilute the nail polish, there are other ways of its resuscitation. It should be noted that this method is very short-lived: once the liquid inside the bottle has cooled, it will again cease to be normally applied to the nails.

Addition of micellar water

Even than you can dilute the thickened nail polish? Micellar water. Recently, it is increasingly found in the arsenal of girls, but few people know that in addition to cleansing the skin, it can still save the dried lacquer. In the bottle you need to add about a teaspoon of water and leave to stand this mixture for a while. The lacquer will then be like new.

Non-standard varnishes

And than to dilute a varnish for nails on the basis of gel? In this case, it is useless to count on the above methods, it is better to immediately add a strong alcohol - vodka or medical alcohol - to the bottle. The problem is that abuse of this method will significantly affect the quality of the coating: it will be much more easily damaged, and it will crack more quickly than regular gel-lacquer.

There is another non-standard lacquer, carakeler, which allows you to create on the surface of the nail a kind of cracks, very fluid and fast drying, which is why it is useless to reanimate, even the above mentioned methods will not help.

Finally

So, than to dilute the nail polish? It is worth remembering that it is better not to use alcohol-containing products and alcohol - modern varnishes do not like this neighborhood very much. Acetone also has certain drawbacks - yet it spoils the nail plate, so do not abuse it either as a diluent or as a means for removing varnish. It is even better to abandon the means for diluting lacquer, which contain acids and fats in their composition - none of these elements will contribute to the long-term preservation of the coating. With proper care your hands will always look just amazing - nothing pleases the eye more than an excellent manicure.
