But nevertheless there is a kind of such struggle where there are no rules and restrictions. The hero of our today's story has reached unprecedented heights in this direction.

Elbrus Tedeev. Biography

The sportsman was born on December 5, 1974 in the small village of Nogir (570 meters above sea level) in North Ossetia (Alania), the Russian Federation. From the age of 11, I crossed the distance of 10 kilometers to get to training in Vladikavkaz at the Dynamo stadium. First Elbrus Soslanovich Tedeev drew attention to track and field athletics. The height and weight of the athlete (167 cm, 62 kg) allowed him to engage in many disciplines. But not everyone can afford this sport. There were three children in their family, and they did not live very sweetly. It was not always possible to go to bed well-fed, such were the times, as the champion himself recalls. To engage in wrestling, no investments were required, and the very militant spirit of the ancestors led the boy into the room for the "wolves". Engaged in the fight seriously, with perseverance and special fanaticism. In the hall they could sit for days, even forgot to eat sometimes. As Elbrus himself says, you'll eat a roll for a day at a break, and again on the wrestling mat.

The beginning of sports career

The first coach of the athlete was Arthur Bazayev, a medalist of the USSR championship and the winner of the World Cup in freestyle wrestling, which himself was unable to perform due to injury, but he raised many inmates. It is to this trainer that Tedeev Elbrus Soslanovich is grateful for the vital values that he absorbed as a sponge. Bazayev taught the young man that he can not pass by someone's suffering, that the athlete must first of all be worthy of respect. At the Russian Championship in 1992 among adult wrestlers 19-year-old Elbrus noted eminent coach from Ukraine - Boris Soslanovich Savlokhov. He invited the young athlete to continue training with him in Kiev. So in the fall of 1993 the athlete moved to Ukraine on the recommendation of a mentor, where he accepted the citizenship of the country and continued to train in the hall of the Suvorov School.

Tedeev is the champion of Ukraine

In 1995, Tedeev Elbrus, speaking for the team of Ukraine, won his first World Championship in freestyle wrestling, in the weight category up to 62 kg. The following year, on the same platform in Atlanta, the Olympic Games were held, where Elbrus brought his country a bronze medal. In Ankara in 1999, he won gold at the World Championships to 63 kg, and in 2002 he became three times world champion in the weight category up to 66 kg.

Personal life

Weight Ukrainian sportsman began to recruit because on November 4, 2001 before the championship his wedding with Faina Zaseeva took place. Before that, in a fast way, you had to have a snack in a cafe or cook yourself. For today they have three beautiful daughters - Diana, Tatiana and the youngest - Eva. The spouse is also an Ossetian, an economist by training, but most of the time she is at home with her daughters. With great pleasure, father himself likes to spend time with them. Elbrus met Faina in his homeland. At that time she was a student of the Faculty of Economics in Vladikavkaz. The first thing that occurred to the athlete when he saw his future wife - "Komsomol, athlete, beauty!". For a long time, lovers called up, when Elbrus lived in Kiev. Even the phone was disconnected for long-distance calls. The wedding was held in national traditions, however, there was no theft of the bride. They were married in the Orthodox Church. Spouses dreamed that they had a minimum of three children (as in the Elbrus family). And it turned out, but like every father, Tedeev also dreams about his son.

Prior to that, Elbrus had two coaches, and now there was a third. So jokingly says the young spouse. Nobody, according to Tedeev, did not put it on his shoulder blades, but Faina managed to do it without struggle. Elbrus was ready to win not only the World Championship in freestyle wrestling, but also the Olympic Games. The wife inspired her husband to new achievements both in sports and in other spheres.

Tedeev Elbrus: sports and social activities

Sports career Tedeev went up. Coach Boris Savlokhov said that it is necessary to glorify Ukraine, which sheltered it. And Tedeev Elbrus Soslanovich worthy of this instruction is fulfilling, winning the gold medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Also at the closing ceremony of the Olympics, Elbrus was entrusted with carrying the flag of the country. In the same year begins the administrative and political activities of the athlete. Since 2004, Elbrus Tedeev has taken over as the president of the organization called the Association of Sports Wrestling in Ukraine, succeeding his trainer Boris Savlokhov, who died on April 24, 2004. Meanwhile in Russia, Jambalat Tedeev (cousin of Elbrus) from 2001 to 2012 is the head coach of the men's freestyle wrestling team.

Life after sport

Elbrus with his colleague, Irina Merleni, was officially enrolled in the lists of the International Federation of United Fighting Styles (FILA).

Having finished two higher educational institutions in Ukraine, the athlete continues his further struggle. In place of sport comes administrative political activity. In 2006, Tedeev Elbrus Soslanovich receives a deputy mandate, representing the Party of Regions in Ukraine, and becomes a people's deputy of 5.6 and 7 convocations in the Verkhovna Rada. He also holds the post of first deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Family, Youth, Sports and Tourism. With his colleagues, he promotes projects for the development of children from low-income families and boarding schools.

Conclusion

In his native village Tedeev Elbrus Soslanovich was awarded the erection of a monument in his honor.

After the Olympics in Rio, where Ukrainian wrestlers showed poor results, Tedeev Elbrus made the final decision. Now the Association of Sports Wrestling of Ukraine will develop without his participation. Anyway, the famous wrestler continues to inspire young people to play sports and lead a healthy lifestyle.

An exemplary family man brings up daughters with his wife whom he tenderly calls Fainochka. Asked whether the daughters will go in for sports at a professional level, Elbrus replied: "No - it's very hard, and for them it's simply impossible, because we now always have a full food fridge, and in this situation to achieve high sports results in practice Impossible. " A little regrets Elbrus that their family has lost the traditions of their ancestors. And in their homeland, young people leave the place of the elders, who lived almost every 100 years.
