Denis Boytsov is a talented heavyweight boxer
Denis Boytsov (photo is given in this article) is a famous Russian heavyweight boxer. He was a champion in the WBA, WBO and WBC versions. German newspapers gave Boytsov the nickname Russian Tyson. In the article we will present a brief biography of the athlete.
Acquaintance with boxing
Denis Boytsov was born in 1986 in the city of Orel. His father took the boy to the boxing section when he was barely five years old. Essential results Denis reached at a young age. So, in 2002 he took gold in Kecskemet. And two years later, the young man won the World Cup in South Korea. In total, the sportsman held 130 fights in amateurs, of which 115 won.
Professional career
In 2004, Denis Boytsov began working with the German coach Fritz Zdunek. Their cooperation lasted for five years. In the following years, the athlete was preparing Arthur Grigoryan.
The first fights in the professional ring were very easy for Denis. In the first round, he sent his opponents into a knockout. Only in 2006 Boytsov met with a worthy opponent. They became the Brazilian Edson Cesar Antonio. The hero of this article won him on points. In the same year, Denis became the world champion (version of the WBC).
Another brilliant victory Boytsov won in April 2008. The athlete defeated Robert Hawkins. In early 2009, Denis Boytsov knocked Carlos Garcia and won the WBA title. A few months later, the athlete met with an experienced Ukrainian Taras Bidenko. The latter possessed high speed and excellent reflexes. Nevertheless, Boytsov sent him to a knockout.
Injuries and first defeat
In January 2010, the athlete defeated Kevin Monti. The victory went to Denis hard: he injured the brush and was forced to tie with boxing for several months. Trauma was felt after the victory over Mike Sheppard. Boytsov again had to take a break.
In the future on account of Denis there were magnificent victories over Darnell Wilson and Matthew Greer. And after the boxer had to cancel the battles with Tyson Fury and Constantine Eireh because of injuries and illnesses. Denis Boytsov scored form only in early 2013 and won two fights: with Alexander Nesterenko and Samir Kurtigic. In the autumn, he again had to abandon the planned battles with Alex Leapai, Travis Walker and Derek Chisora. In November 2013, Boytsov suffered the first in his professional career defeat from Alex Leapai.
The last battle of Denis was in March 2015. The athlete defeated the Brazilian Ireneu Beato Costa for ten rounds.
Nowadays
In May 2015, Denis Boytsov, whose biography is presented above, was hospitalized. A young man was found with head injuries in the Berlin subway. Because of the brain swelling of the athlete was introduced into an artificial coma. Later, he was taken out of it and sent for rehabilitation. All expenses for Boytsov's treatment were taken by Ramzan Kadyrov and Akhmat Promotion.
In connection with the incident, the Berlin prosecutor's office opened a criminal case, suspecting that the boxer was attacked. But then it was closed because of the absence of corpus delicti.
Fighters are still recovering from the consequences of the resulting head injury. According to Olga Litvinova (Denis's wife), during the rehabilitation of the athlete, there are positive changes.
