Sweet tobacco stands well in a cut shape, looks great on flowerbeds along with other flying machines. This is a non-selective plant, which is easy enough to grow. By planting tobacco next to the garden plants, you provide them with additional, and, importantly, natural protection. It should be noted that this applies not only to decorative, but also to fruit, as well as to vegetable crops. The height of the plant depends on the variety and can vary from 25 centimeters to one and a half meters. Some varieties of fragrant tobacco open their buds only in the evening and night, attracting the aroma of nocturnal insects.

Tobacco flavored: cultivation

Tobacco has a variety of colors, it can be white, pink, raspberry, red or even greenish. Blossoms from July to October. Sweet tobacco is characterized by a gentle pleasant smell, which is most felt in cloudy weather. Seeds are sown for seedlings in March-April. Seeds are pressed into the soil and do not fall asleep on the ground, they are covered with glass or polyethylene on top. The first shoots are fixed after two weeks. Young plant shoots are very fragile, so watering should be done very carefully. When the plant gets a little stronger and grows up, it is necessary to hold a pick, planting seedlings in pots. Thanks to this manipulation, sweet-smelling tobacco will grow more intensively and get stronger quickly. When the threat of frost passed, seedlings are planted in the open ground. Seeds of tobacco can be sown in the open ground, but flowering in this case will begin much later.

This plant easily tolerates a moisture deficit, intensively growing in sunny places, although it feels great in the penumbra. Sweet tobacco, the cultivation of which is not too difficult, prefers moderately moistened and humus-rich soils. Flowering plants for the whole season are fed twice (budding and flowering period). For fertilizing, you can use complex fertilizers for flowering summer. If the soil is highly compacted or clayey, before planting tobacco it must be digged and add 3-4 kg of humus or compost. Sweet tobacco should be watered no more often than once a week, in hot weather - two or three times. Regular weeding, removal of weeds, cutting off the withering inflorescences will help the flowers stay on the peak of the decorative form for a long time. Sweet tobacco is a plant that persistently tolerates a drop in temperature, lack of lighting and watering, it also withstands small autumn frosts. In addition, it is characterized by high resistance to various diseases and pest damage. These positive qualities make fragrant tobacco an ideal plant for amateur gardeners.
