The structure of the human foot

And she does all this with her feet!

And yet this wonderful lady can write with a pen and print on the computer, draw and even work with scissors if necessary. And all this she marvelously performs with her legs! And some individuals can even play with their feet on musical instruments, however absurd it may sound. After all, the structure of a person's leg is extremely similar to the structure of the upper limbs, which allows them to replace their hands in extreme conditions.

Of course, the functions listed above are not basic for the entire population of the Earth, it is rather an exception to the rules. The main function for the lower limbs of a person is still universally considered the function of holding the body in a standing position standing or squatting, as well as assuming a fixed position and the movement function, for example, running, swimming, climbing, jumping and crawling on plastunski or on all fours.

Also, the feet are used by people to push and prolong the holding of various pedals. This skill is used by many when driving cars, sewing on mechanical or electric typewriters, working on a honey extractor connected to the electric drive and playing on the organ or ionics

If we compare the structure of the human foot and the structure of his hand, we can note such a difference as a more developed muscle mass and stronger bones. It is known that the lower extremities account for an average of a quarter of the total muscle mass! That's why many people shift their hard work to their feet.

For example, in the past, legs were used in winemaking and preparation of building material for adobe or adobe houses, clay for dishes and toys. And if necessary, to move a very heavy object it is most convenient to rest your back and push it away with your feet.

The most durable and massive human bone is considered to be the femur. She, together with the patella, which protects the knee joint, forms the thigh.

Next is the shin, consisting of a large and a small tibia. The structure of the human foot is much more complicated, since this part of the leg includes a large number of small bones. There are 26 of them.

The structure of a person's leg is so thoughtfully and skilfully adapted to the life of an individual person that it remains only to bow before Mother Nature or the Creator. Every detail is important in it, even the smallest.

For example, it should be noted that all the bones of the lower limbs are connected by joints. Joints in turn consist of an articular bag, which is filled with a special lubricant called synovial fluid, and hermetically closes the joint. At the ends of bones in the place of their connection are hyaline cartilages, which reduce friction during movement.

The structure of the human knee differs from other joints in that it includes a meniscus that damages impacts during jumping and running. But since the meniscus can not be attributed to the bones, it is devoid of the ability to coalesce. And if, during various injuries, the meniscus ruptures, then the doctors have nothing else but to remove the damaged fragments, which naturally reduces the mobility of the joint and in some cases brings suffering to the person, causing pain.
