From shoots that have been heat treated, a variety of side dishes are prepared, and also used as a component in complex vegetable dishes and baking. Edible salt is useful and useful for animals. Growing on pastures, it is well eaten by cattle. Dried and powdered parts of the plant have a pronounced insecticidal effect that repels insects.

When and how to prepare salt?
