Setting up a SEO Module in the Dating Pro Dating Site Engine

Last year, we announced the release of the SEO module for the Dating Pro Dating Site Script. It is designed to help site owners customize their site for the chosen topic - Christian dating sites, dating sites by interests, location, orientation, etc. Also, the structure of the site was slightly redesigned to make it better indexed by search engines.

For correct indexing of a site by search engines you need to register tags of Title, Description and Keywords on each page of a site.

Log in to the admin panel in Settings -> SEO settings. This heading allows you to edit meta tags for all language versions of the site. To change the language, select the desired language from the drop-down menu and then fill in the Title, Description and Keywords fields.

You can write different tags for different page groups, or leave them "by default". But remember that correctly spelled Title and Description will not only help your visitors navigate the dating site, but also allow your site to rank higher in search results.

Strong> Title. Make the headlines more attractive and be sure to include the keywords of your site in them. It is desirable that the header size does not exceed 70 characters.

Strong> Description - can be used by search engines to display in the issuance. The text should be coherent, attractive to the visitor and understandable. Try to keep within 156 characters, that's how much Google searches for. The more attractive your text is, the more likely it is that the user clicks on it. Also do not forget to use keywords in the text, and, the closer to the beginning of the text, the better.

Although there is no limit to the maximum number of keywords that you can use for each page, you should not specify more than 10-12 keywords per page. At the moment, keywords do not play a big role in the ranking of the site, but, nevertheless, they are one of the 200 odd ranking factors in Google.

Advice:
- Make the headings and description (description) attractive, so that you yourself would like to click on them.
- For successful promotion in the search engines, page titles and descriptions should not be repeated. Highlight the most important points of the page.
- Competent selection of key queries is very important for search engine promotion. Therefore, even before you start working with the SEO block, you definitely need to decide on the semantic core through which your dating site will move. To do this, make a list of words by which you would like to see your site in the search results. There are several very useful tools for selecting keywords. One of them, free, is the Google keyword tool (https://adwords.google.com/o/KeywordTool). For Yandex, Yandex Wordstat (http://wordstat.yandex.ru/).

2. Specify the URL of the site pages.

The second important option when optimizing a dating site is the ability to register URLs for site pages. Dating Pro uses the module mod_rewrite, so the site administrator can at any time set the URL for his site as he sees fit. To change the look of the link, go to Settings -> SEO Settings and check the box "Use advanced SEO module features on the site".

Also try to use keywords, because They are highlighted when the site is displayed in the search results.

3. Setting the location

If you intend to promote a site in any one region, country or city, the location adjustment function will be very useful. With it, you can make the desired region, country or city selected by default. In the Admin panel, Settings -> Administrator settings -> Maps and countries -> Countries -> Select a location type -> select the type of location you want to use. For example, you plan to create a dating site only for residents of Russia. To prevent visitors from choosing Russia in the drop-down list in the search or during registration, select the Region / City option and select Russia from the drop-down list . Save the changes. Now when registering or searching, users can immediately choose from among the regions and republics of our country.

You can also add links to the footer of the index page of your dating site. To do this, check the box "Use geographical links to the users' places of residence at the bottom of the main page of the site".

In the basement there will be links only to those cities (regions, countries) where users indicated their place of residence, that is, there will not be empty search results. Clicking on the link will open a list of users from the selected region / city / country.

4. Connecting counters

A) Google Analytics code
The dating site engine already includes Google Analytics code , and in order for you to view site statistics, you only need to specify the Google Analytics account ID in the admin panel. To do this, go to Settings -> Admin Settings -> Google Analytics and fill in the appropriate field.

Where to get the Google Analytics account ID: sign up / log in to Google analytics, go to Administrator mode (Admin button) -> select Profile (the site you need). The Resource ID field and will mean the ID.

B) Other tracking code
If you have a counter other than GoogleAnalytics in the form of HTML code, then you can manually paste it into the Other tracking code field. This is done in the same section where the GA code is prescribed.

The SEO module of the Dating Pro Dating Site Script also includes creating a sitemap (Sitemap.xml), handling the 404 error, and some other useful options. But since the administrator does not need to do anything for this, we will not dwell on them in detail.
