Seborrheic dermatitis on face: treatment

Seborrheic dermitis is a disease of the skin, in which there is a violation of the functions of the sebaceous glands. With this disease, sebum is intensively secreted. As a rule, seborrhea often affects teenagers during puberty. Nevertheless, this disease can be taken by people of any age.

Cause of disease

In fact, nature, as well as the mechanism of development of seborrheic dermatitis, remains to be carefully studied. Only the fact that genetic factors influence the development of this disease is significant, and, in addition, the carriage of staphylococcus is of great influence. Most often, the causative agent of seborrheic dermatitis is a yeast fungus called Pityrosporum ovale. In many respects the development of the disease is affected by hormonal disorders, which include an increase in androgens and a decrease in estrogens. It was also observed that the appearance of seborrhea is interrelated with impaired functions of the gastrointestinal tract.

Types of seborrheic dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis on the face is divided into such subspecies: fatty, dry and mixed. It is important to know that the distinctive feature of this disease is that it quickly tends to move into a chronic stage, which leads to the further occurrence of relapses. Therefore, with a disease such as seborrheic dermatitis on the face, treatment should be carried out as early as possible. At the initial stages of treatment includes a complex of vitamins that will help cope with exfoliation.

The disease attacks those parts of the skin in which most of the sebaceous glands are located, as well as in the place where the mouth of the hair follicles is widened. These areas include the area of the face, breast, etc. At the same time, the skin acquires a grayish shade, shines, and its surface is uneven.

Treatment of seborrhea

With any form of seborrhoea, vitamins are needed. As a rule, prescribe vitamins belonging to group A, E, for example, retinol, etc. Since these vitamins contribute to the normalization of the processes of keratinization and exfoliation. Multivitamin complexes (for example, "Supradin") will help in the fight against such a disease as seborrheic dermatitis. How to treat and what to apply, however, a qualified doctor should decide. With a seborrhoeic specimen will help the so-called corticosteroids, which include "Betamethizon", "Flucinar", "Courtyard", etc.

If a bacterial infection has joined the disease, then with a disease such as seborrheic eczema, the treatment is prescribed with broad-spectrum antibiotics. The choice is made by a specialist, depending on the type of pathogen.

In the severe stage of a skin disease such as seborrheic dermatitis on the face, the treatment includes the use of retinoids, internally and externally (for example, the "Retasol" preparation).

There is a useful effect of zinc in the fight against the disease. In addition, the treatment includes mollusks composed of sulfur and levomitsetinovogo alcohol, a cream with antibiotics and all kinds of substances containing resorcinol.

In the absence of inflammation of the skin areas, when a diagnosis of seborrheic dermatitis on the face is established, treatment involves a course of cosmetic procedures.
