Salted herring: a recipe for cooking at home

Like all lovers of savory salty dishes, I just love salty herring. I used to buy it in a store, and for the last couple of years, I did the salt myself, and believe me, it turns out to be uniquely delicious. Unlike the herring that is sold, in self-cooked fish, I can regulate the amount of salt and various spices. It turns out a great herring of spicy salting, tender and fragrant. In general, I share the recipe for homemade salted and pickled herring, and also what can be cooked from it.

Salted herring: a recipe for cooking at home

This is a very simple recipe for the lazy. We buy 3 herrings. We wash them, purify them from the insides. Mix half a kilo of salt and 10 g of hops-suneli, dry fennel to taste. Rub this mixture of herring outside and inside. At the bottom of the pot, pour half of the remaining mixture and put the herring there. We also fall asleep from above. After a day, the herring needs to be washed.

Marinated herring: a recipe for cooking at home

A kilogram of fresh herring is cleaned, skinned and cut into portions. Then we prepare marinade. For him we cut three bulbs in half rings, sprinkle them with 3 small spoons of sugar, 2 large spoons of salt, pour a pinch of black pepper, pour this mixture with 2 spoons of vinegar essence, 2 spoons of ketchup, 10 table. Spoons of water and half a glass of vegetable oil. All this is brought to a boil, slightly cooled and poured into the fish. The marinade time is 24 hours. After that, the herring can be served on the table or cooked from it some dish.

Salted herring: canapé recipe

For a snack to beer you can cook very tasty and delicate little sandwiches with herring. 30 g butter on a water bath bring to room temperature and mix with cut dill (4 large twigs without stems). Black or rye bread cut into small slices, removing the crust. Two slices of salted herring fillets should be cut into pieces corresponding to the size of the bread. From one lemon cut off 2 thin plates and each divided into 6 parts. Dill oil is spread on bread, we put a piece of herring and lemon. We decorate with a small branch of dill. The Canapes are ready.

Salted herring: salad recipe with beetroot

Two herrings should be cut into thin pieces. Three medium sized beets must be boiled until ready, cleaned and cut into strips. Two onions cut into rings and sprinkle with vinegar. Five proteins, too, cut into strips. All the ingredients are mixed and seasoned with sauce. The sauce is prepared as follows: 5 yolks rubbed with a spoonful of sugar, add 150 g of natural yogurt without fruit and a bowl of mustard.

Salted herring: salad recipe with nuts and apples

Half-herring should be soaked with milk and scrolled through a meat grinder with 1 apple (it needs to be cleaned and removed seeds), 2 eggs, 15 walnuts and a large onion, previously browned. This mixture must be put in the herringbone and formed in the form of herring. Top with sprinkled eggs and chopped green onions.

Salted herring: salad recipe with mushrooms

We cut 2 herrings into pieces, add them to a salad bowl and fill them with sunflower oil (100 ml), mixed with a spoonful of vinegar and half a spoonful of mustard. We spread the onion cut from the semicircles (it can be soaked for 15 minutes in vinegar) and 300 g of marinated mushrooms (if small - you can whole, if large - cut). Top with sprinkled onions and parsley.

Salted herring: salad recipe with corn and sour apples

Four salted herrings are cut into small pieces. Two fresh tomatoes are covered with boiling water, peel and cut. We cut 2 sour apples and water them with lemon juice. Cut rings 1 onion. 400 g of canned corn and 300 g of canned tangerines are removed from the marinade. Mix all the ingredients and pour with lemon juice. We lay out the leaves of lettuce on the dish and spread on them the resulting mixture. An unusual delicate salad is ready.
