Nothing can please as a flowering rose under the window. This amazing plant from the Rosaceae family numbers more than 400 species, obtained with prolonged breeding. These flowers have a variety of color, shape and aroma. In addition to monochrome coloring, many varieties still combine several colors and shades. Rose is a very whimsical flower and requires careful care. This heat-loving plant does not tolerate cold weather and therefore it is sheltered from frosts during the winter. They multiply in various ways, the most common are: the division of a bush, the cultivation of roses from cuttings or layers. These are the most effective methods.

Rose - growing from the handle

Proceed to cuttings in June before lignification shoots. For a rose plant, growing from cuttings is the optimal way of breeding. Too green or already lignified shoots are practically not rooted. From cut cuttings should be removed leaves, spines and buds. The stalk should have at least two or three kidneys. The upper cut is made straight (above the kidney), and the lower one is diagonally. Before planting, they are soaked in the rooting stimulator for approximately 12 hours. Plant the stalk at an angle of forty-five degrees in well-fertilized soil to a depth of 2 - 3 cm. Thoroughly watered and for the preservation of moisture covered with a plastic bottle or polyethylene. When the rose, growing from the cuttings which was successful, starts to give the first buds, it is necessary to remove them, so that the plant takes root. After 2 - 3 years, with all the recommendations, you can already get a bush ready for flowering.

Care of roses

Roses are thermophilic flowers and need light very much. Therefore, they are planted in the sun, as in the shade they bloom poorly and are affected by diseases. Excessive moisture can lead to fungal diseases and even the death of the bush. After each watering you need to loosen the ground. Especially in this requires a young rose. Cultivation from the cuttings requires, at first, great attention to the plant. The soil for these representatives of the flora must be fertile and loose for good moisture and air permeability. It is recommended to apply fertilizers throughout the summer. It is especially important to saturate the roses with microelements. For this, fertilizers containing copper, boric acid, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate and others are suitable. With proper care, the plants will develop well and delight the eye with their flowers.

Wintering roses

Most roses require shelter for the winter. Especially in severe frosts. The rose most in need of custody, the cultivation from the cuttings which has just begun. Because the plant still did not properly take root. Developed and persistent roses tolerate winter better than diseased and weakened plants. At the onset of cold weather, some flowers still have buds and green leaves to avoid decay, in winter it is best to cut them. Roses need shelter already at -5 degrees. But the park plants should not be covered at all, since this variety is the most frost-resistant. The spring shelter should be removed only when the snow completely thaws and the temperature becomes optimal.
