Room roses - features of cultivation

If roses are the most common flowers in the garden , then indoor roses are much less common. This is explained very simply, these flowers are not able to bloom steadily in room conditions. But in our time, there are varieties of miniature roses that feel pretty well in enclosed spaces. Room roses are completely similar to their garden relatives, although they have much less flowers, but they have a pleasant smell and a variety of colors. If these plants are properly taken care of, they will please you with their flowers from the beginning of spring until the end of the summer.

Indoor roses when grown indoors have one feature: they need to create conditions reminiscent of the conditions of open ground. This means that you will have to organize good lighting and a constant supply of fresh air. Also, indoor roses like high humidity in the room and require abundant watering. To prolong the flowering period, it is necessary to permanently remove flowers that have faded.

Indoor roses - varieties

These plants are completely similar to their garden counterparts. They have the same flowers, leaves, they have a very pleasant smell and a variety of colors. For growing indoors, you need to choose varieties that have a height of about 30 centimeters. The best of them are:

- Judy Fischer, is a bush about 22 cm high, flowers of which have a pink color and practically do not smell;

- Baby Darling is also practically odorless, but about 30 cm high. The flowers have an orange-pink color;

- Yellow Doll in height reaches 25 cm, flowers are light yellow, have a pleasant smell;

- Starina is also very fragrant, has a bright red color of flowers;

- Angela Rippon - has a carmine-pink color, a pleasant smell of flowers and a height of about 30 cm.

A rose is a houseplant, and for its full and right development it is necessary to create certain conditions:

- the plant is very photophilous, so it is necessary to locate it only from the south-west and south-east sides, on the southern side in the summer, the flowers will be very quickly crumbled. Being on the north side, the bush will not flow well because of the lack of sunlight. In the summer, indoor roses very well feel in the garden, here they easily tolerate heat and sunshine;

- like all indoor plants, the rose is very fond of fresh air, therefore, as soon as the weather permits, it is necessary to open the windows in the apartment. In the summer, they are generally better placed on the terrace or balcony, and the best option is to prikopat them in the garden. A plant that is in a stuffy and dark room will grow very slowly and bloom poorly;

- Although the indoor roses require extensive watering, they do not tolerate the excessive waterlogging of the soil. It is better not to water them than pour it. Use only standing water. In summer plants need abundant moisturizing, and closer to autumn watering should be reduced. Usually, irrigation reduction is carried out immediately after flowering;

- Since the rose does not like dry air, it must be periodically sprayed, in summer 2 times a day. But remember that the plant, which is in the sun, can not be sprayed so that it does not get sunburn.

Caring for roses in winter

A rose must necessarily have a period of rest. This period occurs approximately from October to February. At this time, plants need to create suitable temperature conditions (about 8 degrees, it is at this temperature that they feel comfortable). If you still leave the roses on the windowsill, then take care of creating a glass barrier to create a more comfortable environment for the plant. In winter, indoor roses are rarely watered and do not spray them.
