Review of Audi V8

The market for used cars is so diverse that it is very difficult for a newcomer to make a choice. Which car to buy? If you are looking for a reliable, powerful car, the Audi V8 is a great option. This four-door, full-size, luxury sedan, produced in Germany from 1988 to 1993. He used a V8 engine and a Quattro system combined with an automatic transmission. Audi V8 was withdrawn from production in 1994.

Standard features for this auto include 32 valves, two upper camshafts, a V8 engine (made of aluminum) and a four-speed, electronically controlled, automatic transmission. It is noteworthy that the Audi V8 has a galvanized steel case, with a 10-year guarantee of no corrosion. This car was specially designed to be at the top of the range of flagship cars, it includes a number of luxury features as standard equipment, including leather seats and the famous Audi Quattro all-wheel drive system.

Audi V8 significantly increased the company's image, providing a viable alternative to competitors such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

The style of this model resembles the Audi 100 and 200, but it has a unique grille attached to the hood, another form of bumpers and headlights, an enlarged wheelbase, the presence of pronounced wings, a completely different interior.

Audi V8 is equipped with a rack-and-pinion power steering as standard, which provides a high performance brake system that includes radially ventilated disc brakes in the front and rear.

In addition, it has:

  • Anti-theft alarm;
  • Front airbags (both from the driver's side and from the passenger side);
  • Front and rear seat belts;
  • Procon-Ten security system;
  • A first-aid kit (built into the armrest in the rear seats);
  • Automatic two-zone climate control;
  • Filter for internal heating and ventilation systems;
  • Electronic cruise control;

  • GSM cellular phone with hands-free function (integrated in the armrest between the front seats);
  • Wood trim;
  • Electric front seats;
  • Electric heated front and rear seats;
  • Front and rear fog lights.

The Audi V8 has never had a huge sales success, despite the apparent high quality of the car. It came out at about the same time as the Lexus LS400. In many respects Audi B8 was superior to it and its competitors, such as Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7-1 series and Jaguar XJ-series. Nevertheless, despite the technological miracle (all-wheel drive, light and compact but powerful engine, cruise control and galvanized body), its clean, but nevertheless catchy design, most consumers thought that the car resembled previous Audi models and is not worth those Money, which will have to pay when buying it.

Today V8 is a cult car in many countries, many of its copies are in the hands of enthusiasts who appreciate the quality, reliability and performance of a durable, well-built car.
