Red cats - a sea of positive!

Among domestic pets, the most popular were always cats. Many signs and beliefs are associated with them. Especially interesting in this respect are red cats and cats.

Signs and beliefs about "redheads"

Since ancient times, they were attributed healing properties, it was believed that if the red cat is always next to the patient, then the disease will necessarily recede. And such pets are often called "golden", and it is believed that they bring to the house not only joy, but also wealth. Especially prized are red-haired cats and cats with green eyes. They say that if you are lucky enough to stroke such an animal, you will be lucky in everything. Pictures of red cats are found more often on posters and calendars depicting animals, as many people believe that they bring wealth, fun, health to the house.

Breeds of red cats

Cats of red coloring are found in different breeds: Persian, Siamese, British. But most of all golden individuals among ordinary mongrel animals. Representatives with a fire color are the most popular, so they are bred in large numbers in nurseries. Red cats are much more common than cats. The females predominate cream, beige shades of wool. In general, fire color is not a feature of any particular breed, redheads are almost in any.
Cats are perfectly crossed among themselves, so getting the most diverse colors is easy. Recently, cats with leopard stains or tiger stripes, which breeders have learned to breed, are very popular. Color is rarely uniform: usually, the back is darker, and the belly is lighter.

Features of British cats

Among fans of furry pets there is hardly anyone who does not like these plush creatures. This breed is one of the oldest in the UK. Externally the red-haired British cat is like a teddy bear. He has a dense short hair, large round eyes, chubby cheeks, a body strong, round in shape, legs are relatively short. British males are much larger than females. In addition to red, very popular are the individuals of a blue hue.

British cats are ideal pets. They are moderately active, can adapt to a house of any size, get along well with all household members, especially with children. They are easy to take care of, short hair does not get lost in knuckles. The British are very smart, easy to train, so they often appear on TV screens. Representatives of this breed are prone to obesity.

Recently, more often you can hear about such a breed as the British lop-eared cat. Red color, combined with the ears pinned to the head, makes its representatives look like soft toys. Although some felinologists claim that only Scottish cats are lop-eared.

The character of the "British"

British cats significantly differ in their behavior from representatives of other breeds. They do not like excessive attention to themselves, almost do not meow when they need something, but wait patiently, rarely respond to kis-kis, like when they are called by name. The British are intelligent, calm, independent, almost aristocratic. They perfectly feel alone and yearning to begin, only if the owners are not at home for a long time. Individuals of this breed are rarely aggressive, so they are perfect for families with young children. However, this does not mean that the cat will give itself offense: if it causes pain, of course, it will show its claws. If you offend your pet, he can go into the "underground", that is, take refuge in an inaccessible place and do not go out for a long time. These cats are quite stubborn: they can hardly be forced to do anything if they themselves do not want to. They are very clean and rarely allow themselves to crap anywhere.

Proper upbringing

If, nevertheless, your British cat has bad habits, most likely, it is the result of incorrect education. The nature of animals is formed up to a year, later re-educating their pets is much more difficult.

What kind of habits should we disaccustom kittens immediately? The British at the age of 3-6 months are terrible lovers of fooling.

They can throw things off with high furniture. To disaccustom the kitten from this, it is necessary to treat the surface of furniture with something unpleasant for it, for example, citrus juice or special means. Another bad habit, perhaps, of all cats is scratching and biting the hands of a person. It appears about 4 months, when there is a change of teeth. To get rid of this habit, you should buy a scratching toy and special toys, which your pet can scratch his fangs.

But the main thing is to teach you to go to the toilet from the first days of your pet. If the kitten grows next to the mother, then he learns it himself. Otherwise, accustoming it to the tray is your task.

The British, and especially the red-haired cats, are rather playful and mischievous in their "childhood". But when your pet grows up, he will become serious and sedate and will give you a lot of pleasant moments.
