Recto-manoscopy - what is this procedure and how to prepare for it?

One of the methods of research of the mucous membrane of the rectum is sigmoidoscopy. This examination is carried out using endoscopic equipment consisting of a tube, eyepiece and a light bulb. Recto-manoscope is inserted into the anus to a depth of up to 35 cm, which allows to make a reliable picture of the sigmoid and rectum condition.
