Rails for drawing: a classic of the genre or an irreplaceable subject?

Each drawer is familiar with an object that makes it easy to draw parallel lines regardless of their angle or direction. This irreplaceable thing is called a flight, which creates additional conveniences while drawing by hand on a specialized wooden board.

The drawing rail is a kind of ruler, the shape of which resembles the letter T in its silhouette. A wooden rail is a long ruler with a perfectly flat surface, on the one hand it is cut into a short crossbar at a right angle, called the last head. Why do we need a line-voyage and the main requirements for it?

The flange is required preferably for horizontal lines and is much less common for inclined and vertical straight lines. For example, the inertial version of such rulers is made of transparent materials, in front of which there is a scale for conducting lines, side and back - a grid for measuring angles. Use and storage of the vortex

Rails for drawing is one of the main pledges of the executed scheme and its quality. After all, the correctness, accuracy and quality of the drawing itself depends on the state of all instruments. Therefore, after completing the work, each time it is necessary to wipe the vortex and put it in the optimal place, inaccessible to moisture. Thanks to this care, wood and metal will have a pristine and perfect appearance.

When used correctly, the drawing ditch must be in a comfortable sliding position, so that nothing interferes with its free movement.
