Prison notions and laws: councils of veterans

Few people know that there is a clear delineation of the law of thieves and prisons. So, by the first one is understood the set of unwritten rules and norms of behavior established in certain circles, which is mandatory for so-called thieves in law. And what are prison concepts and laws?

The prison law

Of course, no one wants to feel on their own skin what it is. But if already "business is done" and a person is sent to the stage, that is, to places of deprivation of liberty, he should find out what prison concepts and laws are, thieves.

Naturally, there is no clear, somewhere written term. Proceeding from the established secret rules, prison law - these are the rules and traditions, mandatory for all prisoners without exception. It is these standards that regulate relations among persons serving a sentence.

Thus, the prison law is only a certain part of the law of thieves. The only difference is that the first is that all prisoners and prisoners must abide by. But the specific norms of the thievish law are observed only by "crowned" thieves and prisoners who seek to obtain this "status."

What is it, the law of prison?

Prison notions and laws, prohibitions Strictly observed "correct" prisoners. In fact, the meaning of the rules of conduct in places of deprivation of liberty is the same as the norms of life at large. Just prisoners express it in their own, more understandable language (or slang).

So, the basic prison concepts and laws of prisoners are as follows:

- Allocate a share in the obshchak, that is, be able to share, give their own.

- With respect to the elderly, parents.

- Do not knock, that is, not to report to other prisoners the administration of the colony or prison.

- Do not "rats", that is, do not steal from your own.

- Do not bring charges without evidence, evidence.

- Do not swear, do not insult without reason (surprisingly, it is forbidden to express foul language in places of deprivation of liberty).

- Be responsible for your words. This means that you can not just threaten someone: if you already said so you need to do it. There are no changes in situations, or "accidentally" in places of deprivation of liberty.

All of the above laws are sufficiently vital and human, and also easily applicable (with some amendments) in everyday life at large.

There are also prison laws and concepts, rules that ordinary people understand quite difficultly. For example, you can not interfere. So, if one prisoner decided to commit suicide, it is impossible to dissuade him from the rest of the convicts. If he asks for a blade (to cut the veins or throat) - it will be given.

It's strange for a law-abiding citizen to be that in prison it is forbidden to raise anything from the floor. Even if a prisoner has dropped a hat on the floor, it is no longer possible to raise it and even more to wear it on.

"Crime and Punishment"

Non-observance of the norms of the prison law will not pass without a trace to any of the prisoners. It does not matter whether the prisoner belongs to the prison "elite" or is included in the most disparate group of "siders".

For violation of established rules, the guilty convict (the one who "nakosyachil") may be subjected to:

- Beating.

- A blow to the ears (to give by the ears - means to transfer the prisoner from the "caste of thieves" to the lower one, that is, to the category of "peasants"). It can only be done by a thief in law or a convict who has the same status.

- Fracture of limbs - arms and legs are broken, as a rule, to persons who have not returned a card debt (and he is considered to be a saint in the zone), as well as to those who, without any reason, themselves beat a cellmate.

- Violent act of sodomy, after which the prisoner automatically falls into the most despised "caste of the lowered"; This type of punishment is widespread in places of deprivation of liberty, where juvenile offenders serve their sentences, as well as in the general regime zones. In prisons of strict and special regime, these cases are extremely rare.

- Symbolical act of sodomy (on the zone this expression is replaced by the concept of "paraffin" and consists in carrying out the sexual organ on the lips of the offender). The sexual act itself does not occur, but the convict is also translated into the category of "roosters".

- Murder (this type of punishment is used only rarely and only for committing particularly serious acts). For example, a prisoner can be killed for major theft from obshchak or for a proven connection with law enforcement agencies. However, the decision to kill is never taken by one of the prisoners alone.

Types of prison concepts

Concepts are rules, a kind of code of honor. Conditionally all existing prison concepts and laws Are divided into two large groups:

- positive, that is, which, in the opinion of prisoners, are correct and acceptable to them;

- negative - those that are guided by the lower categories of "convicts" (for this reason they fall into the castes of "roosters", "goats" and others).

Positive concepts, in turn, are divided into human and thieves. And negative - on "gad" and mentov (the exact opposite of thieves).

Concepts - the foundation of relationships?

It is on the concepts that relations of persons serving sentences are built. At the heart of their communication are human concepts. It is they who are held by the so-called decent prisoners, as well as other "castes" of prisoners, which will be discussed below.

There are also those who follow the Gadic concepts, which are the absolute opposite of the human. Usually these are "rats", "chicken" and "bespredelschiki" - that is, prisoners who committed a significant offense for prisoners. It can be stealing something from your own cellmate, informing the prisoner or colony of another prisoner, as well as unjustly beating up the prisoner.

Colonies and prisons are places of deprivation of liberty in which mistakes are not forgiven. In this regard, the prisoner, who violated the norms of "human" coexistence, is deprived of the opportunity to atone for his guilt. Such a prisoner, most likely, will be subjected to humiliation and bullying from cellmates throughout the whole term of imprisonment.

Thus, prison concepts and laws, rules of conduct are the platform on which the relationships between prisoners are built. At the same time, human concepts, in sense, are aimed at self-sacrifice, the desire for mutual assistance, empathy, humanity and mutual understanding. While the Gadic are the complete opposite and are based on the desire to satisfy only their needs and interests, to put themselves above the rest.

Basic concepts

Many prison concepts and laws have already smoothly entered life in the wild. In modern society, you can often hear terms such as "cant", "zapadlo", "parasha", "show", "stuffy", "steer", "fuflyzhnik" and many others. And not always people who use prison jargon in their vocabulary know the correct meaning of concepts.

So, not everyone knows that the term "stuffy" means the creation of unbearable conditions for normal existence. A "jamb" - this is not an easy accidental oversight, but a serious violation of the prison law.

In general, almost all words often used in ordinary life on the zone are denoted by "their" terms. For example, street robbery is a "gop-stop", murder is a "wet affair", the language is a "broom", a particularly dangerous recidivist is a "mansion", a prison corridor is "continue", clarifying relations - "disassembly", escape or hide - "sit on the wheels" and others.

Without knowledge of prison terminology, it is almost impossible for a prisoner to exist in places of deprivation of liberty. Therefore, if the convict does not want to have unnecessary problems - he, as a rule, still being in the remand center, begins to comprehend the "thieves' language". After all, without the knowledge of specific prison terminology, one can not understand, for example, the expression: "Looking with a mandate presents the authoritative criminal". In the "translation" into plain language, it means that "the principal in the zone transmits important information contained in a note, a revered and respected group of prisoners on the zone."

Thus, prison concepts and laws of thieves (or rather, prison) are mandatory knowledge that the prisoner acquires while still in pre-trial detention (SIZO).

However, it is necessary for a convicted person to know not only prison concepts and laws, rules of conduct, but also so-called castes, that is, categories of prisoners (one of which the convict himself will necessarily enter).

Prison "castes"

There are no prisoners who would not be included in any of the categories of prisoners. All persons held in places of deprivation of liberty are conditionally divided into groups or, as the prisoners themselves say, "castes". The transition from the privileged category to the lower category is possible (for example, in connection with the commission of an act that prison concepts and laws, behavior of convicts Refers to the "jamb"). But the transition from the lower to the higher is excluded.

So, there are four main prison "castes":

  • Thieves;
  • Muzhiks;
  • Goats;
  • Outcasts.

The first "caste" is thieves. These are the so-called professional criminals with experience. Representatives of this group themselves do not call themselves thieves, but use such concepts as "brothers", "convicts", "vagabonds", "traveling".

This group is the top of the hierarchy, which can not be accessed by anyone. There are strict requirements for prisoners who are part of this "caste". Thus, a "tramp" will never be someone who has held executive positions in the free will, had anything to do with the structures of power, and served in the army. Do not fall into the "caste" and those who worked in the service sector (for example, a waiter, a deliveryman, a taxi driver).

Several decades ago, the "thieves", while at large, did not have to work a day at all. They were also forbidden to marry, to perform compulsory work in the zone. Now these requirements are not applied in most prisons.

In addition to the "clean" biography and status of a professional criminal, a prisoner who wants to get into this "caste" must observe absolutely all prison concepts and laws and traditions.

Blatnye have a huge power in the zone and in prison (or as the prisoners themselves say, "in prison"). It is they who resolve all conflict situations and disputes arising between prisoners, ensure that none of the convicts is unjustly offended or humiliated.

There are representatives of this group and special privileges. So, they may not work and make their own decisions on what can be left from the so-called obshchak.

It is from this "caste" is chosen "pahan" - the main one in the zone. At the same time, if there is a recognized "thief in law" in prison, then this "position" necessarily occupies him. By the way, "thieves in law" is a privileged, higher group of prisoners. It includes only violators of the law recognized by the underworld, meeting all the above requirements.

If there is no "thief-in-law" in the zone, then a person performing his duties, that is, "looking", is sent there. He performs all the functions of "pahan".

Currently, in some places of imprisonment, the so-called pakhanis secretly cooperate with the administration of the colony: they suggest in the zone the order that management needs. The authorities of the colony for this kind of cooperation close their eyes to much: for example, the fact that vodka, anasha and other things get to the "pahan".

It should be noted that the development of market relations in the country has not bypassed the place of deprivation of liberty. Recently, a "thief in law" can become for money, that is, buy this title. And, in spite of the fact that prison concepts and laws of clarity do not dovetail with this fact, it is still impossible to exclude it. Such here are new and not very ideological thieves in the law called "oranges."

Who is on the zone more?

Caste "peasants" - the largest, and it, as a rule, is about 60-70 percent of all prisoners. This group includes the most ordinary prisoners who serve a sentence for minor (by the standards of criminals) punishment: fights, minor thefts and other similar acts.

"Muzhiks" do not have the right to vote on "disassembly", they do not take any decisions on the zone, in short, they simply serve their term, trying not to interfere anywhere, and after liberation they plan to return to the life of an ordinary law-abiding citizen.

Who are the "goats"?

The next caste is the "goats". It includes prisoners who, by their own will or coercion, cooperate with the camp administration. They can hold the position of librarian, clerk, commandant of the zone, that is, any post that actually exists in the state of the correctional institution.

Persons who serve their sentences come to this group on their own initiative (for example, in the personal case the administration wrote that the convict took the path of correction) or at the will of the administration of the colony. So, a prisoner can be persuaded, intimidated or forced to work for the benefit of the prison administration.

To refuse this work is extremely difficult, so many prisoners can only accept their fate and follow the instructions of the colony's superiors.

The rest of those sentenced to representatives of this "caste" are negative: they are considered certain "traitors". And this is not accidental, because many "goats" inform the prison administration about everything that occurs among prisoners, that is, speaking in their language, "knock."

"Kozlov" is not allowed until "obshchak", but at the same time, other persons serving a sentence can be greeted, talked to, touched with them.

The most horrible

The last and the account, and the status is caste "omitted". The persons entering it are also called "roosters", "offended" and other similar terms. Those prisoners who are "omitted" (this does not necessarily have to be an act of sodomy) come into this group, and this process can be performed purely symbolically.

Prison notions and laws are not for this category of convicts. They are not considered on the zone at all for people. So, it is forbidden to touch them (if some item should be passed on to the "lowered" - it is simply thrown to the floor so that the prisoner lifts it), they use a separate dish, they can not touch the things of other convicts. In general, they live in a separate group that does not have any rights.

Statistics show that the largest number of prisoners falls into the specified group in the areas designated for juvenile prisoners. They are dominated by their prison concepts and laws, obligations, and sometimes even more severe than in real prisons and "adult" camps.

Epilogue

In places of deprivation of liberty, life does not stop. It continues to flow ... Just there are certain prison concepts and laws. The book, which contained all the norms of prisoners' conduct, has not been written to the present day. And it is unlikely that this will ever appear.

Despite many nuances and amendments, camp life is still based on universally recognized principles: do not steal, do not inform, do not lie, do not violate established norms and the order of communication between prisoners.

Prison notions and laws, councils of experienced prisoners are what help the convict to adapt in prisons and camps. Following the established norms of behavior and communication, the "sibling" will be able to acquire a zone "strong back", "sidekicks" and is in relative safety.

Also fulfilling all the "regulations", a person (if he, of course, has such a desire), will be able to achieve certain "heights" in camp life and even enter the category of privileged prisoners.

Respecting prison concepts and laws, advice of "authoritative" prisoners, convicts who have been imprisoned, most likely, can find a common language with "brothers in misfortune" and will not become an outcast. And, strange as it may sound, "criminals are also people", most of which adhere to the rule: "in any situation you need to remain a man".
