The drug contributes to the formation of a large number of neutralizing antibodies to viruses of different types. The required effect is achieved after the second injection and does not depend on the general state of the person, the immunity is produced after the third injection, it is strengthened with the repeated administration of the drug and protects the person from poliomyelitis for at least five years after the first revaccination.

Contraindications

Prohibits the introduction of "Polioriks" instructions for use to those who have an acute febrile condition, in such cases, vaccination is carried out later. If after introduction of inactivated vaccines of the same type (inactivated, protecting from poliomyelitis) previously had a negative reaction of the body, the drug is not used.

Researchers believe that the negative reactions of the body can be associated with the introduction of "Polyoriks."

A person who has been vaccinated may experience irregularities in the functioning of the immune and nervous systems. Dysfunctions of the digestive tract are possible. There is a loss of appetite. Frequent symptoms include fever, swelling, pain and redness at the injection site.

Patient interaction, special instructions

The national calendar, according to which immunization is carried out, provides for the simultaneous execution of several preventive vaccinations (against pertussis, tetanus, diphtheria). People who previously had a negative reaction to the antibiotic "Polymyxin" and "Neomycin", with caution appoint a vaccine "Polyoriks." The instructions for use show that these antibiotics are present in the formulation, and their quantity corresponds to trace concentrations.
