PJSC "Yaroslavl Shipyard": history, production, contacts

In 2019 PJSC "Yaroslavl Shipyard" celebrates the centennial anniversary. Over the years, the enterprise from a small lamp-lamp workshop has grown into a large-scale production of vessels with an unrestricted area of navigation. YaSZ produces various types of boats: from small maneuverable yachts, to patrol boats and river tankers.

The First Five-Year Plan

Yaroslavl Shipyard was established in the first revolutionary years at the facilities of the workshop that produced the lamps. A convenient location on the banks of the Volga, the availability of qualified personnel, attention from the authorities contributed to the development of large-scale production. In 1920 the Yaroslav Motor and Shipbuilding Shipyard built the first motorboat. In the pre-war years, the main products of the YaSZ were gliders, sea and river raiders, firemen, postal, diving boats.

During the Great Patriotic War, Yaroslavl shipbuilders collected unique vessels equipped with salvo units of the "Katyusha" class. They participated in the largest battle in the history of mankind - the Battle of Stalingrad. They helped to liberate Ukraine, Belarus and Western countries in the Danube and Dnieper flotillas.

Post-war development

Since the late 40-ies began a systematic reconstruction of the enterprise with the transfer of it to the construction of sea vessels of an unrestricted navigation area. In the mid-60s, the Yaroslavl Shipbuilding Plant switched to the production of new ship projects and before the beginning of the 90s, annually handed in 12-14 orders.

In 80th years the next reconstruction of capacities began, after which the volumes of output of vessels should grow almost twice. But during the restructuring period, funding has almost stopped, orders have frozen on the stocks, the output of finished products has fallen. Now the enterprise is completing the bulk of the orders that were put in place at that time.

Characteristic

YaSZ is one of the oldest enterprises in the industry. It has today the most modern equipment and highly qualified personnel for the fulfillment of orders of the power structures of the Navy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Security Service of Russia and other consumers, including foreign ones. Traditionally new projects are being developed here, which are the pride of Russian shipbuilding. Contacts of the Yaroslavl Shipyard: 150006, Russian Federation, Yaroslavl, ul. Ship-1.

Technological base

Until the beginning of the 1990s, YaSZ was a full-scale shipbuilding plant, that is, performing the full range of shipbuilding activities: from the preparation of sheet and profile rolled products to the testing of finished orders. If you compare the photo of the Yaroslavsky Shipyard of different years, it's easy to see that the production areas have decreased.

Today, a flexible scheme is used, taking into account economic feasibility. To perform certain work, contractors are involved, some of the equipment is purchased from third-party companies. From part of the capacity had to get rid of, while expanding the industry cooperation. However, the main production was preserved. This shop:

  • Tubular;
  • Assembly and welding;
  • Staple-fitting;
  • mechanical;
  • Procuring part of hull production.

Production capacity

The Yaroslavsky Shipyard is equipped with a 190 m long slipway, which provides two platforms for the construction of hulls up to a width of 12 m. There is also an open slipway, where the hulls are assembled to 16 m. With a longitudinal launching device, vessels reaching a length of 75 m and Weighing 1050 tons.

The factory installed gas cutting plasma machines with CNC, capable of cutting details of complex shapes (up to 8 m in length) from steels of increased strength. The capacities allow processing 4000 tons of steel and 500 tons of aluminum per year.

Guarding the Motherland

Traditionally, the main customers of the Yaroslavl Shipbuilding Plant are power structures, the Navy, maritime units of the border troops, the Russian FSB, the Federal Customs Service, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. In 1997, Yaroslavsky Shipyard was chosen to build border ships. The leadership was able to convince the commander of border troops Andrei Nikolaev that the company can build ultramodern ships. In fact, it saved production in the crisis of the 90s. Among them there are boats:
