Electroboard ( pressboard ) - a kind of materials for electrical insulation, which is made from unbleached type sulfate pulp (sometimes with the addition of cotton cellulose) in one of two methods: rolling or calendering. The resulting dense smooth sheet has, as a rule, a nut color, differs in thickness (depends on the brand) and density. In general, based on the name, the first (but not the only one) application of the electrocardboard should be sought in electrical equipment. The most interesting is the electrocardboard produced in accordance with GOST 2824-86 (EV board), which is designed for electrical insulation of units and individual elements in electrical units with oil filling and a continuous operating temperature of up to 105 degrees. The varying thickness of this material determines its use in equipment with different characteristics: either for a higher voltage (up to 750 kV), or for large operating temperatures (up to 105 degrees), and may also have an increased resistance to surface discharges. The electrocardboard of mark "EV" with a thickness from 0.1 to 0.8mm can often be found in rolls of width 1100mm. And from 0.8 to 2.5mm - in sheets of 1050 x (1000 - 1100mm).

Cardboard for patterns

Electrical insulation is not the only area of application of the presshead (another name for this material), so-called cardboard for patterns is widely used in sewing, leather goods, textile production. This brand of cardboard - EVTNP, which is produced in accordance with TU 5443-020-00278882-2009, and the most demanded electrical card manufactured by ZAO Proletary (Surazh) - Surazh Cardboard . Electrocardboard EVTNP is commonly called a general-purpose cardboard. It is suitable for the same electrical insulation (voltage up to 1000V), and for many other industries, mainly light industry. The thickness can be met from 0.1 to 2.5mm sheets, it all depends on the application: for example, for making patterns in the garment industry (pattern - pattern made of paper or cardboard) serves a thickened variety (up to 2.5mm), because these products require High durability and strength, with frequent handling. At the same time, cushioning grades (up to 0.5 mm thick) do not require such indicators as durability, they are subject to increased requirements for the strength and density of the material. Over the years, this material has proved itself well with these industries, due to its technical characteristics, as well as an acceptable price. The electrocardboard of mark "EVTNP" is delivered in rolls or sheets 1050 х (1000 - 1100мм).
