Tyler Durden is the personal god of a big machine

The fighters of the invisible front rose against the foundations of modern society, against themselves. The loss of values, the sale of masculinity as an advertising brand, the emergence of a layer of nothing doing men underlies the struggle, led by Tyler Durden. It sounds beautiful, pathetic, inspiring, but what is really behind the calls of the narrator's alter-ego?

"Overcome fear." No fear

Who am I? The narrator goes to support groups of people suffering from various diseases. He always comes up with pseudonyms and never names a real name. A faceless insurance agent in a crowd of his own kind is busy chasing empty ideals that cause only one thing - insomnia. Fear is a key moment in the novel, an impetus to movement. Communication with Bob, who lost testicles due to cancer, reveals the motive for castration - the disappearance of real men. The threat of losing men's dignity in one form or another slips in the storylines: an episode with a police commissioner, the threat of closing a fight club. The loss of masculinity becomes the worst that can happen to the narrator after he has only found himself.

Fear is called a creative element that reveals inner strength. The narrator puts a gun to Raymond's temple and makes him still fulfill his dream - to become a veterinarian.

The way through violence in the novel of Chuck Palahniuk is an opportunity to wake up, sober up and feel adrenaline, like after a light blow to the jaw. Fighting with fists allows men from the fight club to abandon office work, newspapers, television and goods. The battle reminds everyone that he is still alive. However, it can lead to death. To lose everything, but to get to the bottom.

"Cut off excess." No distractions

Landmarks are brought down, people are lost in imposed ideals. Being a man means having an expensive watch and a car. Knock out the heads of "nonsense", through pain and fear to go to the true essence and the fight club offers a search for oneself.

Tyler Durden arises in the mind of the narrator in the form of an ideal man from the same disgusted advertisement, makes you feel a kind of jealousy and rivalry. They have much in common, including life without fathers, who have disappeared. This is the way the author draws members of society, abandoned without reference points into the abyss of obedience. The chaos created by the narrator and his alter ego is designed to attract attention. Tyler Durden believes that it is better to cause hatred than to be in the shadows. This is how the way begins to drop the shackles of society, the changes of modern foundations. The "Defeat" project should burn out the middle class, which does nothing, stop the economy, turn back the time and get people to work. Make men courageous.

"Having lost everything, you gain freedom? Freedom must be sought in yourself, "says Tyler Durden. Quotes of this charismatic character pervade consciousness, like needles, which means that the author is right when he hits the target.

Craziness or freedom?

But why the project "The Rout" failed? Perhaps because Tyler loses all control at the end of the novel. Or because the narrator learns about where the born leader came from. "Every time you fall asleep, I run away and do something wild, something crazy." Two parts of the narrator's brain combine, like water and alkali, into an explosive mixture that destroys life before its planned end. But why strive for what awaits each person at the end of the journey? It becomes clear that Tyler is trying to build the same society, but with a different face. Instead of the thoughtless drones working for the corporation, the drones work for its benefit.
