Perfume Guerlain: fairy collection

Since the founding of the design house Pierre-François Guerlain in 1828, the richest collection of various flavors was created, which, however, remained recognizable and always relevant. Perfume Guerlain has about eight hundred songs, united in lines and directions - Legends, Stories, Myths ... And these are not just names - every scent really embodies a fairy tale. Maybe, in the end, will be created a whole collection called "A thousand and one nights from Guerlain"? Consider at least some of the flavors.

The spirits of Guerlain Shalimar (1925) were inspired by the Taj Mahal, with its fountains and gardens. The concept of fragrance is the insane, death-defeating love of Shah Jahan to his wife Mumtaz. This is the first truly oriental flavor in the history of Western European perfumes. Not only the contents, but also the crystal bottle of Baccarat was a masterpiece. Jacques Guerlain combined vanilla sticks in varying degrees to obtain a bitter note from this substance. By the 60th anniversary of the firm , an "upgrade" of perfume was made, and in 2004 there appeared an easier variation of Shalimar Light (author Matilda Laurent). In 2008, a more democratic product was launched - Eau de Shalimar (toilet water).

But in the XIX century, the family perfume house surprised the aristocratic public. Em Gerlen, the founder's son, in 1889 created the unique perfume Guerlain Jicky of the six components, which are now the classic chord inherent in all products of this brand. The imposing nephew of the dynasty's patriarch, Jacques, distinguished himself by creating a series of compositions that shook the world between the First and Second World Wars: Vol de Nuit, Apres L'Ondee, Mitsouko, L'Heure Bleue. All of them are good in their own way.

The period from 1956 to 1989 was the "golden age" for Guerlain. The last perfumer of the famous dynasty, Jean-Paul, worked very fruitfully, bringing to the world such wonderful compositions as Ode, Samsara, Vetiver, Eau de Guerlain, Chamade and Habit Rouge. Now the post of the main perfumer of the firm is occupied by Thierry Wasser, who continues to create according to the old canons, which was established already in the century before last. However, this does not mean that the House simply produces old and forgotten smells - every new perfume Guerlain - the embodiment of one of the images of a modern woman.

But Les Elixir Charnel is a warm, bodily body that causes a storm of passion. Charming, sultry, intoxicating ... It can only use a strong spirit woman. A line Aqua Allegoria is easy, like a spring moth, casts a mood of a fresh and clear morning. Another masterpiece, famous for Guerlain, is the perfume Le Petite Robe Noire. Romantic, showy, a little cocky, they will suit any woman who wants to attract attention, but not be obtrusive. Like the notorious little black dress, this fragrance will never go out of fashion.

Since 2009, launched a line with a frankly floral beginning, core and base. Perfume Guerlain Idylle was created in the "alchemical cuisine" of Thierry Vasser, but Guerlain's handwriting here is preserved. As vox Dei "sounds" angelic chorus from the Bulgarian rose, white freesia, turning into a bouquet of lily of the valley, jasmine, white lily, peony and lilac. Sweet patchouli and musk shade the whole composition. In 2012, there appeared an interpretation of the classic flavor - Idylle Duet Jasmin-Lilas. The name speaks for itself: a duet of jasmine and lilac. However, it is not just flower water - Gerlen remains true to himself: it is a complex perfume composition with musky-woody notes.
