Patriotic education of preschool children in kindergarten

From a very early age, the children of the kindergarten are brought up with the feeling of the Motherland. The program of upbringing and education of preschool children assumes a gradual acquaintance of children with folklore, with folk traditions, as well as with native nature, and peculiarities of the place of residence. The patriotic education of preschool children in the senior groups of preschool institutions is supplemented by the knowledge of children about Russia as a native country, about state symbols.

The youngest children at the age of 2-3 years, through the observation of natural phenomena, get acquainted with the plants of their native land. A world map can be located in a group, but teachers do not yet demand that children know the names of countries, but only indicate the place of Russia.

The moral education of preschoolers is closely connected with the patriotic. Children learn to respect people of other nationalities, study their customs and traditions, participate in national holidays and ceremonies, play games of the peoples of the world. Acquisition to one's culture takes place through folk festivals, traditionally celebrated in the region. The aesthetic education of preschool children is used to form in children a sense of beauty in the process of admiring their native nature, works of art of their people, artistic expression.

Holidays, which are held with preschool children, are evenly distributed throughout the school year and are the basis of the content of the educational program. At the age of 5-6 years, children, preparing for the celebration, learn poems, songs, study its history. This is the patriotic upbringing of preschool children; Children have not only knowledge, but also a value attitude to their traditions. Victory Day, Defender of the Fatherland Day, Cosmonautics Day, National Unity Day and others are holidays that form pride of the children for their Motherland, for their people. At this age they get acquainted with their region, with its features and sights.

The patriotic education of preschoolers encompasses several educational areas. Through the "Cognition" area, children receive information about their Motherland, other countries, different nationalities and their traditions. The educational area "Communication" allows children to communicate with their peers, learn the languages of other peoples, receive information from older relatives about the history of their native land, listen and remember folklore works. Areas of "Music" and "Artistic Creativity" allow children to better learn works of art, to master the skills of depicting murals and decorating clothing of people of those nationalities who live in the region.
