Parents to note: in kindergarten for the first time

So the maternity leave comes to an end. You will soon go back to work, and your baby will go to kindergarten for the first time. How comfortable will be the first days of his stay there, depends not only on the educators, but also on you. All parents face numerous questions. What preschool institution to choose? How to protect the baby from stress? When is it better to bring a child to kindergarten for the first time? How to protect the baby from diseases? And this, of course, is not all that torments caring mothers and dads.

As a rule, children who started to attend pre-school institutions are often sick. And the point here is not only in the low immunity or irresponsibility of caregivers, as parents think. Just in the garden "wanders" a lot of bacteria, which the baby's body had not previously encountered. And the younger the child, the stronger the attack of viruses. Here, age is really very important: to give the child to a child better after three years, when the immune system gets stronger and will be able to withstand familiar viruses, and in relation to the new ones, to develop resistance.

It is better to bring the child to a kindergarten for the first time in the very beginning of autumn. If during the summer your child ran around the grass or sand barefoot, bathed in a pond and ate fruit, then his body became much stronger and prepared for the autumn-winter period. August and September are the months most suitable for the first visit to the preschool by a child. At this time, it is still warm enough, and the body must be in time to adapt.

"Which garden is better?" Is another natural question. The fact is that in a relatively recent past all preschool institutions were subject to the same system with the same development plan aimed at gradual preparation for school. Today, kindergartens have several classifications (and, accordingly, differ in orientation), divided into large groups: private (home, commercial), departmental, municipal. Depending on the type of institution, the training programs will vary, and the number of children in one group, and the quality of food, and even, alas, the psychological atmosphere. Some kindergartens have such a good reputation that the queue there takes almost from the birth of the baby. Most often, parents still choose state pre-school institutions with standard general education programs. To use additional paid services or not, it's up to you (you have the right to refuse them).

Before you bring a child to kindergarten for the first time, ask the manager or your future teacher what your child should be able to do. The overall level of development and social adaptation has not been canceled by anyone. You should understand that a child who does not know how to do anything on his own will be subjected to ridicule of peers (even in three years) and, alas, cause irritation of the staff. Your task is to teach your child to elementary things by three years: independently eat, dress (put on shirts and jackets, button buttons and locks, pull pantyhose, etc.), wash hands. At this age, the children are already free to collect simple figures from the designer and cubes, they know the basic colors and names of the figures. Encourage in every way the development of speech: read to him, talk, ask questions and do not brush aside the answers. The child should join the team painlessly. The better he is developed, the more psychologically he will feel himself in the team.

And further! Bringing the child to the kindergarten for the first time, do not leave it for long. Changing the situation for him is a serious stress. On the first day, stay in the group with the baby. An hour for acquaintance will be enough. The next day leave your child for the same hour, but already one. Then - before dinner. Increase the time of the child's stay in the kindergarten gradually, then the general adaptation will be quite easy.
