Oxy preparation (rinse solution)

The drug "OCI" (rinse solution) is intended for topical use only and is a transparent liquid of greenish color, which has a characteristic mint smell. The main active substance in this product is ketoprofen lysine salt, and auxiliary ones are glycerol, methylparahydroxybenzoate, menthol, sodium saccharinate, ethanol, mint flavor, brilliant green, hydrophosphate, purified water. Each bottle is equipped with a separate dispenser, which is designed to dispense 2 ml of the drug for one injection.

The drug is used in the treatment of various ENT diseases and in dentistry. It renders the body antipyretic, as well as analgesic and anti-inflammatory, but has no antibacterial effect.

Since after taking the drug "OCI" (rinse solution) in the blood there is a low concentration of ketoprofen, it means that it does not have a pronounced systemic effect.

Indication for the use of OCI solution

The drug is prescribed when it is necessary to carry out symptomatic treatment of various inflammatory processes that occur in the larynx, oral cavity and pharynx with the following diseases:

  • Gingivitis, stomatitis and glossitis;
  • Chronic parodontosis, aphthae and parodontopathy;
  • Pharyngitis, laryngitis and tonsillitis.

It is also possible to use the drug "OCI" (rinse solution) as an analgesic for dental manipulations.

Dosage

The preparation is intended for topical application in the form of rinses. For adult patients, two rinses are sufficient throughout the day. At one time you need 10 ml of this solution, this amount will correspond to 5 injections. With the help of the "OCI" means rinsing is also performed for adolescents who are more than 12 years old, but they need only three injections per procedure. For children from 6 years old to one rinse, two injections of this preparation should be carried out.

In order to prepare the solution, it is necessary to dilute the indicated amount of OCI preparation (rinse solution) in a glass with 100 grams of ordinary water.

Possible side effects

After the application of this drug in some cases, the appearance of allergic reactions. If swallowing of this remedy was allowed, systemic side effects may appear.

Contraindications to the use of the drug "OCI"

The drug is not prescribed in such cases:

  • If the patient has "aspirin" asthma;
  • If there is an increased sensitivity to the substance of ketoprofen, as well as other NSAIDs.
