Owl made of beads: embroidery and weaving

Owl made of beads

There is a huge variety of schemes and master classes on weaving of beads from this nocturnal bird. You can use a bead to embroider it on a piece of dense fabric and skin or weave it using a wire and a fishing line. You decide!
In this article we will give you two options how to make an owl out of beads.

Earrings "Owl"

First, with the help of the simplest master class, we will make earrings "Owl".

Beading from the beads of these ornaments does not take you much time, but the result you will be satisfied.

Such earrings will look great on the ears of a little girl or teenager complete with jeans and a sweater.

What you need

• Transparent fishing line (it can be bought in a store for needlework or ask a husband-fisherman).
• A long special needle for beading with a thin eye.
• Dark brown beads.
• Light brown beads.
• Several yellow beads.
• White seed beads.
• Shvenzy (special hooks for earrings).
• Small scissors.
• Cloth of contrasting color with beads.

• The first row, which we type, is in the widest part of the owl's trunk: we collect 2 dark brown beads, 6 light-brown beads and 2 dark-brown ones.
• We pass the line of the last bead of the row from the side of the penultimate line.
• We pass the second from the end of the bead from the third.
• Do this action with all the beads.
• We start the next row: for this we type one dark brown bead on the line and pass a needle in the loop between the first and second beads of the first row.
• Thus, we weave another 1 dark brown, 5 light brown and 2 dark brown beads.
• The third row is woven in the same way as the second one: we weave 2 dark brown, 4 light brown and 2 dark brown beads.
• The fourth row consists of 2 dark brown, 3 light brown and 2 more dark brown beads.
• In the fifth row you should get 6 dark brown beads.
• In the sixth row, weave 5 dark brown beads.
• Now make the paws, for this type 3 dark brown beads, thread the line through the second, third and fourth beads, dial 3 more of the same color and thread the line into the 5 piece.
• Fasten and cut the fishing line.
• Now we will make the top part of the owl: to the row that you wove first, weave 2 dark brown, 5 light brown and 2 dark brown beads (we will reckon the rows from the middle row, the row that you just wove, call Second).
• Third from the top row, wove 8 dark brown beads.
• In the fourth row there are 3 dark brown, 1 yellow and 3 dark brown beads.
• Next, we'll separate the head and connect the torso with it.
• For the head of the plait, the first row is from 1 dark brown, 1 white, 1 light brown, 1 white, 1 dark brown, 1 white, 1 light brown, 1 white and 1 dark brown.
• We weave to this row from the bottom one row of 1 dark brown, 2 white, 2 yellow, 2 white, 1 dark brown bead.

On top of this row is a 2-row plaited as follows:

• The first row: 1 dark brown, two white, two dark brown, 2 white, 1 dark brown.
• The second row consists of 7 dark brown beads.
• An owl made of beads has "ears" on its head, they are made just like you made paws.
• Connect the head to the trunk.

The owl of beads is ready, attach the accessories to it, and you will get wonderful earrings.

Decoration of the "Owl" on a dense basis

This decoration will be made in the technique of "bead embroidery". Owl, which will result from the fact that you will sew beads on a piece of leather, can be used as a hair clip, pendant or brooch.

You can take the beads black, white or brown. We will describe the master class "How to make a polar owl".

The tools that you will need to make such a decoration

• Beads of white color (size № 6, 10, 11).
• Oblong white beads (rice).
• Oblong beads of graphite color (Fig.).
• Beads of silver color (size number 15).
• Beads of graphite color.
• Large crystals of amber color.
• Leather.
• Super glue.
• A sheet of thick paper.
• Thin line.
• Varnish on a fabric basis.
• A long beaded needle with a thin eye.
• Accessories for the decoration you want to make (a pin for a brooch, a metal loop and a chain for a pendant or barrette).

Owl, beaded

• We type 30 beads of white color №10 and make a ring from them.
• Brick weaving (as it is done, we described in the previous master class) weave a row of white beads 11 sizes.
• We weave the next row with 15 size silver beads.
• The fourth row is also a silver plated bead.
• We paste into the resulting ring a bead of amber color.
• Shave the same scheme for another ring and insert the second bead into it, securing it with two rows of silver beads.
• We weave to the ring from the underside of the bead of a silvery hue.
• Take a rectangular piece of non-woven base and, having retreated two cm from the top edge and 1.5 cm from the sides, we sew the braided beads back to back.
• We sew each eye round with a white bead №10: for this, stick a needle into the cloth near the bead, string on the fishing line a bead, sew it to the fabric, make a loop around it, sew the next bead near the first, process the entire eye circle.
• Make three "cilia" from an oblong white bead at the top of each eye.
• Between the eyes below, sew a horizontally oblong bead of graphite color.
• Draw a trunk-semicircle under the already embroidered eyes of an owl.
• Sew a contour of this circle with white beads of 10 size.
• The first row of the body is embroidered with white beads № 6 in the form of two semicircles. The beginning of the first semicircle will be near the first bead, and the end near the nose of the owl, the second semicircle starts from the nose and ends near the opposite border.
• Alternating beads of white and hematite color, row after row fill the entire body.
• Glue to the non-woven base, on which the owl is embroidered, a piece of thick paper.
• To the paper, glue the thin skin.
• Cut off the excess material at the owl's office.
• From both edges immediately under the eyes, sew horizontally 3 white oblong beads - these will be the wings.
• To the bottom of the trunk of an owl, sew two legs of three oblong graphite beads.
• Sew an owl in a circle to hide all the carelessly sticking leather edges.
• Sew the accessories.

An excellent solution for this work will be a brooch "Owl made of beads". This decoration, as you can see, is not difficult to do at all.
