Our favorite pets. Rarest breeds of dogs

A dog for a man has long become a loyal companion and a bold guard. Sometimes it is not even clear what we would do without our taciturn, but such devoted four-legged friends. Like humans, animals have different characters, differ in appearance, size, abilities. Nowadays breeders managed to create many new breeds, combining all the positive qualities that we would like to see in our pets: beauty, ingenuity, complaisance, courage. Some quadrupeds are at the peak of popularity, others for some reason or another people are hearing less and less. Therefore, I would like to draw attention to the rare breeds of dogs.

Today, not so often you can see the Tibetan mastiff. This breed is considered rare, although several centuries ago it was common in China and nearby countries. These fierce and noble guards accompanied children and women who walked with goods along the Silk Road. After they were transported to the plains for sale, the mastiffs discovered a huge number of diseases. Today they have already adapted to the new terrain, although they have added to the list "Rare dog breeds". With photos, no problems arise, so everyone can admire the mighty kind of these giants, but not all can get a puppy of a mastiff. The price for some representatives of this breed reaches one million dollars.

Moody is a service dog, bred in Hungary. She excellently copes with her role as a shepherd, skillfully manages large herds, exhibits miracles of ingenuity, thanks to which she has been recognized all over the world, although you can hardly meet representatives of this breed outside Hungary.

Rarest breeds of dogs usually amaze with their appearance, and katalburun was no exception. The animal is notable for its forked nose. The breed is bred in Turkey and lives only in this country. Hunters appreciated the skill of hunting pets and their excellent scent.

Azawakh and Norwegian dead-end husk are rare breeds of dogs in Russia. The first is common in African countries and outside the hottest continent is extremely rare. It is elongated, long-legged and very thin, used for hunting fast animals of deserts, for example on gazelles. The Norwegian dead-end husky lived back in the days of the Vikings and was used to hunt deadlocks. The animal on the front paws has 6 fingers, and on the back - 5 fingers. Laika joined the list of "Rare breeds of dogs", because of digestive disorders poorly absorbs nutrients and dies at an early age.

The Caroline dog is also called the American dingo. It very easily adapts to any conditions, the estrus in her, like all wild animals, happens once a year.

Otterhounds were very popular in the XII century, they were mainly used for otter hunting. In the late 70-ies of the XX century, such entertainment was prohibited, and the breed began to wind less and less. Today, about four hundred of these animals live in North America.

The rare breeds of dogs are no worse, maybe even better than some common pets, they just went through fashion, or they can not spread all over the world because of their physiological characteristics.
