Neptune Day or Navy Day. As they say in Russia?

The day of Neptune is a wonderful and cheerful holiday. In Russia, it is called the Day of the Navy, and celebrated on July 29. This is one of the favorite water celebrations. Usually it is celebrated with parades, competitions, water shows and competitions.

It will necessarily be celebrated in all public organizations: at resorts and beaches, children's camps, dispensaries, sanatoria and, of course, in the army. Neptune Day will not leave anyone indifferent.

The scenario of this event can be completely diverse. But it will always be based on military parades, sports competitions and a water show.

Usually the scenario is based on the old maritime tradition. According to her, when you cross the equator on a ship, the captain is obliged to ask the Lord for permission to swim in his southern and northern possessions. Neptune, if he gives his blessing, will call the sailors a guide. But we are talking about those of them that did not cross the boundary of the equator earlier. On this basis, the script is most often built, and a colorful presentation is displayed, which is usually remembered for a long time. No wonder, it's Neptune's Day. It must necessarily involve not only the most formidable Lord of the seas, but also all his retinue: devils, water and mermaids. They are usually "hooligans", trying to drag everyone into the water, to bathe and sprinkle. But they do it at the command of the Lord, to bless all who came to his feast.

You can very well diversify the Day of Neptune. Competitions are chosen depending on the place of the celebration, time and target audience. We can offer some variants of the competition:

  • The game "In the ranks". It is necessary to organize two teams with the same number of players. First they are built behind a drawn line, which must be absolutely parallel to the water line. A signal is given, through which participants rush into the water and begin to bathe and rejoice. After the second signal, everyone should quickly run out of the water and take their own, and not someone else's, place in the ranks. The team that managed to make the first rank is awarded a victory.
  • Competition of team captains. The first signal is heard, according to which they must take the "start" position. After the second - they throw themselves into the "smooth surface of the sea" with their arms extended forward. The person must be immersed in water. It is necessary as long as possible to slide in the form of a "torpedo", without bending hands, without lifting your head and working only with your feet. The winner is the one who will do this for a longer time.
  • Competition for men. They are divided into pairs, one will portray the horse, and the other - the sea rider. Participants enter the water, which should reach only to the chest, stand opposite each other and begin to fight. The main task - to pull his opponent from the "horse". In this competition, the "horses" should actively help. If the rider falls into the water, the battle will be stopped. The commands have the same number of pairs. The winner is the one who will have more points.
  • One of the most common competitions, which is held on the Day of Neptune, is the swim of the best swimmers (breaststroke, butterfly, crawl on the chest, crawl on the back, free style).
  • The next contest for real warriors. Each team gets a grenade ball, which must be taken out of the water. Therefore, participants must swim, rowing with one hand, to transfer the "trophy" to another person from their team. The one who will be the first to cope with the task will win, and the grenade will bring a dry one.
  • One of the favorite competitions is water volleyball or polo. It is usually happy to attend all comers.

The scenario, of course, can vary. But the Day of Neptune - it is always a real sight, in competitions and contests which are actively involved by all spectators.
