The entire body of a person, including his neck, is formed from muscles. The list of the main ones includes the neck muscle of the belt, which will be devoted to our article.

Thanks to this feature, the simplest stretching exercises are enough, but before you begin to perform them, you need to decide which way the slope is given easier. Some people have this backward movement, others have an extension (tilt of the head to the chest). Therefore, the exercises should be done step by step, for the beginning we develop the extensor muscles and only then, to strengthen them, we begin to perform lateral inclinations of the head.

Starting small, but doing this daily and gradually increasing the tension in the neck muscles, we achieve that they are strengthened, including, of course, and the neck muscle of the neck.

Extension exercises

Exercises are performed while standing. With the help of hands, folded on the back of the head, press on the head and pull the chin to the chest. You need to keep your back straight.   2. The shoulders are lowered.
  3. The chin stretches as high as possible.

To feel it, you need to sit down and tilt your head slightly sideways. Pressing your fingers on the corner of your neck, you can feel how straining the neck muscle. Its functions are responsible for turning, bending and stretching the cervical region. Pressing it with your fingers and holding them in this position for a while, you will feel its slow and pleasant relaxation.

Why do my back muscles hurt?

Medical statistics indicate that periodic pain in the back muscles occurs in every third adult. Most often, this neck spasm, but there are other reasons:

  1. One of them is cervical radiculitis. It occurs when the nerve root is infringed and is expressed in the form of acute attacks of pain. To prevent this, it is necessary to pay special attention to the formation of a muscular corset. It allows you to remove unnecessary strain from the neck.
  2. With a sharp turn of the head or improper exercise, stretching may occur, accompanied by unpleasant pain.
  3. If the neck muscle is worried with prolonged aching pain, and when palpation is clearly felt thickening and the pain becomes stronger, there is myositis - an inflammation of the neck muscles.
  4. There are a number of other more serious diseases in which muscle pains are observed, such as ischemia of the heart, polymyalgia, Bekhterev's disease. Therefore, if you have frequent pain in the neck, you should consult a doctor.

This is an important part of our body, which should be protected.
