Nebulizer nozzles - device and purpose

Injector atomizers are mechanical devices designed to spray fuel in injection and diesel systems. The supply of gasoline or solar oil is carried out under high pressure. What is noteworthy, on gasoline engines, spraying produces at a pressure of 3-5 atmospheres, while diesel injection is carried out at 1000-1200 atm.

What is it for?

This part performs several functions at once in the fuel supply system. First, it doses the right amount of injected gasoline. Secondly, the nozzle atomizer (KAMAZ-5460 including) perform the function of controlling and preparing the jet of fuel. And thirdly, this device separates the injection system from the combustion chamber of the engine itself.

Often modern spray nozzles of diesel injectors consist of one or two channels (nozzles), through which fuel is supplied to the outlet and then sprayed into the combustion chamber. The quality part should provide an even cone-shaped spraying of the liquid.

Varieties

At the moment there are only two types of mechanisms:

  • Pin devices.
  • Multi-jet (bezshtiftovye).

In the first case, nozzle atomizer nozzles are used in the mechanisms of vortex and pre-chamber diesel engines. Multi-jet devices are most often equipped with cars that have direct fuel injection, including on cars with Common Rile systems. Both mechanisms have their own design features, however their operating principle and the main function does not change from this.

Work algorithm

When the nozzle guns are in the open position, the liquid is injected into the combustion chamber. From its quantity and quality of delivery depends a lot of factors, starting from engine power and ending with fuel consumption. If the spraying is wrong, the car starts to smoke, lose dynamics and at the same time consume more fuel. There is a constant zakoskovka jets, which can lead to a complete failure of it. The tightness of the device, which is in the closed state, ensures a tight fit of the needle tip into the seat of the sprayer body. When the nozzle guns are in the closed position, this needle is held by a special spring that acts from the locking cone of the device side. It is also worth noting that in the Common Air system, the pressure of the most combustible liquid is used instead of a spring.

Before the fuel enters the combustion chamber, it is injected into the nozzle, then passes through special channels into the atomizer (we spoke about them at the beginning of the article). Gradually, fuel is injected into this device, as a result of which pressure builds up in the system. As soon as its value reaches the required value, the needle spring of the nebulizer opens and the process of fuel injection into the cylinder begins. In this case, the rod of the opened device goes inside the guide channel in the nozzle body.
