Self-tapping roofing for metal

It firmly presses into the base of the aluminum washer. When screwing the screw in areas of skew and during re-tightening, the gasket exhibits ductility properties. It is a sealing seal. Rubber gasket is resistant to precipitation, ultraviolet, temperature changes, ozone.

Optimum thickness of metal, which drills a self-tapping roofing, is 2.5 mm. Six to eight products are used per square meter. As a rule, they are fixed in the lower part of the wave of corrugated board in the place of abutment to the crate for a couple of centimeters below the protruding step. After fixing the screw in the crate, the rubber washer was deformed and hermetically fills the space between the self-tapping screw and the metal of the roof. Soon the washer substrate vulcanizes and creates an impenetrable bond.

Roofing screws for metal are made of high-carbon steel. The zinc coating on the screws is applied electrolytically. The zinc layer is approximately 20 μm. Depending on the surface of the corrugated board, use painted or galvanized self-tapping screws. Modern roofing materials have a variety of colors, so the self-tapping roofing assembly with an aluminum washer is painted in any color according to the RAL table. The head of the screw, the place under the cap and the steel coating of the washer are carefully painted with polymer paint. For the durability of the coating, the powder paint is subjected to a furnace treatment.

Having a long length, they are able to break through the buffer layers with a heater under the roofing sheet and reach the base. Facade structures allow the use of roofing screws without a sealing rubber washer.
