Indications for use

The use of medication is indicated for severe pain that occurs after surgery, with a heart attack, unstable angina, trauma, malignant tumors. The drug is prescribed as an additional remedy for performing spinal anesthesia (during labor), general and local anesthesia. The use of hydrochloride is indicated for pulmonary edema, which is caused by a deficiency of the left ventricle, when coughing, when other drugs do not help, before such a procedure as the x-ray of the gallbladder, the gastrointestinal system.

A single dose is 10 mg for conventional forms of medication or 100 mg for a prolonged dose. Children are prescribed a remedy depending on their weight (0.2-0.8 mg / kg). The maximum daily volume should not exceed 50 mg and 200 mg - for prolonged tablets. To eliminate pain in the postoperative period, patients are given medication every 12 hours. The suspension is prepared by diluting the granules in water, taking the Morphine hydrochloride solution immediately. Subcutaneously, the drug is administered in an amount of 1 mg, intramuscularly or intravenously, 10 mg. Rectal suppositories are used only after cleansing of the intestine.

Side effects

The drug "Morphine hydrochloride" is able to cause hepatotoxicity, gastralgia, gastric spasms, cholestasis, dry mouth. And also spasms of bile ducts, anorexia, constipation, nausea, vomiting, bradycardia and tachycardia, pressure jumps. In case of severe intestinal lesions, the use of the medication may provoke flatulence, atony or paralytic intestinal obstruction. In addition, side effects include circulatory disorders of the brain, confusion, paresthesia, tremor, headache, fatigue, drowsiness, depression, nervousness and restless sleep.

Contraindications

It is forbidden to use medicine for infections, blood clotting disorders, hypersensitivity, respiratory center depression.
