Biography

Michael was born in Greece, in the city of Nafplion. From childhood he lived with his mother, the owner of a bookstore. His father, Makarii Morbius, a famous artist and director, the guy has never seen. But Michael was not up to this, he and other problems were lacking. The guy suffered a rare and fatal illness, one of the symptoms of which was intolerance to daylight, so he almost always sat at home. Only at night I ran to play with my only friend - Emil Nikos.

When the young people grew up and went to college, both chose the biochemical faculty in the hope of someday creating a cure for Michael's illness. Having received the first positive results, the friends boarded the yacht and went to sea to conduct an unusual experiment, including electroconvulsive therapy and the use of DNA from bats. Everything went smoothly. Well, or almost everything. Michael Morbius was cured, but side effects made him a monster - the skin became white, fangs and claws grew, and blood became thirsty. In general, he became a vampire.

The abilities of Michael Morbius

Failures happen - and this is a fact. Oh, to whom, if not to Mr. Morbius it is to know. But everywhere you need to look for the positive side. Yes, he became a bloodthirsty, aggressive, losing control, but what he eventually acquired.

Let Morbius not a hereditary vampire, but just a victim of the experiment, most of the features he inherited. First, Morbius became stronger, faster and more enduring. He intensified reflexes and exacerbated feelings. He perfectly sees in the dark and feels the blood at a distance of several kilometers. And most importantly, calmly refers to aspen sticks, garlic and silver.

The martial skills of Michael Morbius of Marvel are enhanced by the fangs and claws with which he bites and tears his victims. The ability to hypnosis allows you to manipulate beings and people, and quick regeneration makes it virtually invulnerable. But the fact that he was immortal did not mean that he can not be defeated.

First problems

So, becoming a vampire, Michael Morbius felt a strong thirst for blood. Having lost control, he attacked Emil and killed him. And then on a ship passing by, I got to New York, there I found an abandoned hut and took shelter in it.

Once Dr. Kurt Connors has confused something in his experiments, for which he suffered a severe punishment - turned into a Lizard. Since then, he unsuccessfully searched for a medicine and did not even suspect that the antidote is waiting in his laboratory. Fortunately, the solution to the problem was already in the doorway. Spider-Man somehow got extra hands and, to get rid of them, decided to turn to Lizard. Together they attacked a vampire. Between them a fight ensued, as a result of which Morbius was defeated and lost some of his blood. Such impudence, he could not stand, so he vowed to someday take revenge on Spider-Man.

Short-term healing

Not that he fulfilled this promise during his next meeting with Peter Parker, but he took some advantage out of it. During the battle of Morbius, lightning struck while he was drinking Spider's blood, and this deprived him of thirst. Michael did not like to be a villain too much, so he was delighted with the chance to start a new quiet life. He moved to Los Angeles, where he continued to do research work. There he met Jennifer Walters and even helped her with the medicine that controlled her transformation into the Hulk.

In turn, Jennifer, as a lawyer, represented his interests in court when he was accused of numerous murders. It was thanks to her that Michael Morbius was given only five years, and for good behavior was released ahead of schedule. That's only on this happy days are over. Thirst returned and began to torment him with even greater force. At some point he was lucky, and he tracked Spider-Man. But he did not have time to bite, was caught by Simon Stroud, an agent who had long been hunting for him. And Michael did not even resist, because he understood that most of his victims were innocent people.

Michael Morbius is a character with an uncertain position. Although, if he did not suffer from vampirism, he probably would have done without any victims at all. Murder for him - not a way of entertainment, revenge or gaining power, he did it only in order to survive. But even then, he tried to do less damage and constantly worked on creating a cure for his mutation.
