Mark Butler is a great, intelligent and educated person. He was a champion in chess competitions, but decided to leave the practice alone and move on to the theory. Butler was an excellent coach, thanks to his training in our country, many players are grandmasters.

A little about chess

Chess is the oldest game that appeared in India. It has a long history. Chess, in its essence, is a logical and athletic game. But it also develops will power, concentration of attention, creative thinking.

The game has a 64-cell board and 32 figures. Cells of black and white alternate with each other, 16 figures of black and 16 figures of white flowers. The essence of the game of chess is to put a mate in the figure of the enemy king. To do this, you need to think through each move, so for the game you need to think logically and know the rules well.

One of the great players and the best coaches of the world was Mark Izrailevich Dvoretsky, who became famous for his victories in chess games in Georgia, Russia and the USSR.

Mark Butler: Biography

Butler was born in Moscow on December 9, 1947. He received a mathematical education at Moscow State University, but continued his life in the staggered direction. A few years after graduation, he became a professional chess player.

After the victories at the world level Butler Mark Izrailevich began to write books teaching chess skills, in parallel began to train chess players who later became masters of sports in chess and great grandmasters not only in the USSR and Russia, but also abroad. Among such people are: Sergei Dolmatov, Arthur Yusupov, Nana Alexandria, Evgeny Bareev.

Mark Butler wrote a lot of very useful quality theoretical and practical books. You can learn from them on your own and achieve good results. Now these books have a high popularity, they are studied by everyone: from small to great. On these books, not one generation of chess players, among whom there are also champions, has grown up.

Mark Dvoretsky was given an excellent analytical mindset. "Endgame textbook", which he wrote, very well reveals the talent of mastering chess techniques, as well as the coaching skills of Mark Dvoretsky. He could quickly find the right solution in any situation, be it a vital or a chess problem.

Butler Mark Izrailevich was a very intelligent and educated man. With him you could talk about everything. He genuinely cared for his disciples and worried about them, always supported and instructed them if they began to give up. Mark Dvoretsky was very hardworking. Chess - that's what he was not tired of thinking, thinking and writing, choosing different techniques and tactics. Even when he began to fall ill, he did not stop writing books, correct mistakes, which his disciples gently pointed out to him. And for this Mark Butler was not angry with them, but, on the contrary, thanked. He was worried that because of these mistakes, the most important chess competitions could fail, and his students would lose.

Achievements of Mark Dvoretsky

1973 for Mark Dvoretsky was significant in that he became the champion of Moscow in chess. In the USSR championship in 1974 Mark Dvoretsky took the 5th and 7th places. In the same year in the foreign tournaments Polyanice-Zdroj and Wijk aan Zee he also became a champion.

Butler remained very slightly up to the rank of grandmaster, but he decided to teach and train other people, to give them their experience of playing chess. Soon the skill to transfer experience surpassed his practical skills, and in 1979, 1981 and 1987 he became a deserved chess coach of the RSFSR, Georgia and the USSR, and also became a well-deserved trainer of FIDE.

To date, Mark Izrailevich is the most authoritative, successful and professional coach of the world. His theoretical and practical methods still teach his great generation of students.

During his life, the honored master taught chess skills to Nana Alexandria, Arthur Yusupov, Alexei Dreev, Alexander Motylev, Sergei Dolmatov, Ivan Popov, Viorel Bologan, Vadim Zvyagintsev, Ernesto Inarkiev, Vladimir Potkin and other chess players. Thanks to this training, they became champions of the world, the country, and Europe in junior classes, and also claimed the highest chess title. Butler had the experience to teach not only a single student, but also immediately the whole team team.

Mark Butler became the author of many books and articles in which he expounded his thoughts and ideas. They have become very popular and on which almost all chess players of the world are trained to this day. Cause of death of Mark Dvoretsky

The chess coach was killed on September 26, 2016 in Moscow. He was 68 years old. Sources keep silent about why he died. One of his pupils said that in August he fell seriously ill, but continued to work on his manuscripts, correct and supplement mistakes, and therefore it was difficult to say that the writer and coach is ill. Than hurted, did not name. Therefore, the cause of Mark Butler's death is unknown. He was buried in the Mitinskoe cemetery.
