A short digression into the history

The town of Lobnya appeared due to the unification of a small village with a number of villages, settlements and settlements.

Their history begins many centuries ago. The oldest of them, the village of Kiovo, was first mentioned in the Spiritual Letter of Ivan Patrikeev in 1495. In it, the prince handed over his possessions, including this village, to his sons Vasily and Ivan.

Basically, the settlements were small - one or two yards. Because of the right of movement of the peasants, the settlements grew or disappeared altogether.

In 1623 Mikhail Romanov gave Kiovo to the brothers Borniakov. The new land masters, unlike the previous ones, did not have any honorary titles and titles.

Thanks to the efforts of Bornyakovs, the wasteland of Kiovo became a small rich village. Altogether ten people lived there.

In 1650 Kiovo was sold from a local order to Bornyakov, and in 1658 it was transferred to Bogdan Matveyevich Khitrov.

In 1667, Khitrov received a boyar status and was honored at the reception of foreign ambassadors to sit next to the king. In the same year the Church of the Savior was built. Her and other attractions of Lobnya we will consider in this article.

In the middle of 1680, the village of Kiovo, already Kiovo-Spasskoye, went to the widow of Khitrov, Maria Ivanovna. In her possession it did not last long, and in the same year Ivan Maximovitch Davydov got the job.

In the 19th century, the village was owned by Count Orlov, Saltykov and Panin. After the abolition of serfdom, the population of Kiovo began to grow rapidly.

Slightly less ancient, but the same significant was the village of Bukino. The first inhabitants were the Old Believers who were hiding from the tsar. In the middle of the 20th century a military town was built here.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Lobnya railway station of the Savelovskaya railway was opened here. The stations gave a name along the river Lobnenka, around which a settlement began to form. In the reference book of 1911 he was recorded as a summer residence of Lobnya.

At the same time, on the outskirts of the village of Katyushka, the Nikitsky monastery was formed. Here in 1905 they opened the temple of Seraphim of Sarov and the school with him. In 1918, a council of deputies was formed in the village.

The village of Krasnaya Polyana until 1835 was a wasteland. The earth was owned by Naryshkins. In 1848, Krestovnikov took her on lease and opened the production of wool.

In 1961, under the decree of the Supreme Council, the settlement was transformed into the city of Lobnya. The sights are very diverse and have a centuries-old history.

Lake Kiovo

For the sake of this landmark of the city of Lobnya, people travel from all over Russia, spending several days on the road. And this is really a memorable and interesting place. Lake Kiovo, on which the village was named - the future city of Lobnya, is included in the protected area. In the lake, about two meters deep, ducks, carp, dwell gulls and lake gulls.

In 1927, at the suggestion of Professor Manteuffel, the lake was declared a reserve. In 1948, passed a law on the protection of seagulls. They also forbade spoiling nests and eggs, shooting at birds, building bonfires and grazing cattle, swimming in the lake and walking along the shore. In 1973, a ban on fishing was issued.

In 1996 the colony of seagulls on the lake practically disappeared. In 2009, the inhabitants of the city began to actively revive the colony. Now on the lake's territory there live gulls, Bluethroat, turtles and other animals and birds.

The Manor of Marfino

The Manor of Marfino is an ancient monument of architecture of the XVIII-XIX centuries. To create this unique sight of Lobnya worked talented craftsmen Tugarov, Belozerov and architect Bykovsky.

For all the years of its existence, the estate changed its appearance as many times as it changed owners. Because of this, an interesting combination of pseudo-Gothic and classicism turned out. On the hill stands a chic palace with sharp towers and relief windows. In front of him is a large pond.

Art Gallery

The head of this sight of Lobny, opened in 2004, was the developer of the city's coat of arms, the owner of a large number of awards - the artist Korobkov. Here are exhibited paintings of local artists and creative children. Also at the gallery there is an art school. Works of her students are also exhibited here.

Hyperboloid water tower Shukhova

The unique construction, the steel water tower of engineer Shukhov, is listed in the list of historical values. The tower is located near the entrance to the city at the Williams Institute.

If you want to go to this place in a taxi, do not ask the taxi drivers to take you to the tower. They may not understand. Just say "to Williams." In front of the main building of the Institute there is a splendid view of the tower.

Near the park there is a real motor plane, and a little further - a restaurant. And the tower, and the square, and the restaurant is owned by Ashot Babayan - a man who did not allow the water tower to be dismantled and handed over to scrap metal.

The tower stood very idle for a long time. Officially, it is the possession of the state, and someone can rent it. First, the tower was rented by the Williams Institute. In the 80s the water tower was removed from the balance of the institute. Ashot Babayan rented it for 8 years.

Shutov's technology is in the construction of straight beams and rings, light, but very durable. It is most often used in the construction of water towers. The Shutov Tower was no exception.

Ashot Babayan not only failed to destroy the monument, but also plans to reconstruct it and open the observation deck at the very top. Perhaps the restaurateur has already carried out his plans, and you can look at the tower from below and on the city from above.
