Lisa Chaykin. The Great Patriotic War. Hero of the Soviet Union

Elizaveta Ivanovna Chaykina - Hero of the Soviet Union. This title was appropriated posthumously. During the Great Patriotic War, the girl actively fought against the invaders while in the partisan detachment, and was tortured by the fascists. But they could not break it by torture and never received the information they were seeking from Liza. As a result, the girl was shot.

Life of Lisa before the war

Lisa Chaikina was born on August 28, 1918. In the village of Runo, located in the Tver region. At the age of 15, she graduated from high school. After receiving the certificate, Lisa was appointed to the post of head of the village hut-reading room, which was in her native village. This is a kind of analogue of the usual library. Lisa followed the books and gave books to fellow villagers.

For several years of work the girl showed herself to be a responsible and conscientious person. As a result, Lisa was appointed collective farm accountant. Thanks to the humanitarian frame of mind, the girl was easily given the writing of articles and essays. So she decided to try herself in journalism. Lisa got a job in the newspaper "Leninskii druknik" and regularly published there.

Party activity

After Liza turned 21, she joined the party and received a party membership card. As a result of active work, after a while the girl was appointed to the post of secretary of the Penovskiy District Committee. Simultaneously, she became a deputy of the district council. In 1941, Lisa Chaikina attended the courses of Komsomol and Party workers held in the city of Kalinin, which was later renamed Tver.

Liza is the organizer of the partisan detachment

When the war suddenly burst out, Lisa began to take an active part in the construction of defense from the very first days. Many districts were evacuated, and the Komsomol Regional Committee instructed the girl to organize a partisan detachment in her native village. Lisa was able to collect 70 fighters "invisible front." She herself was also part of the created partisan detachment. Subsequently, many recalled that Lisa was well managed not only with a rifle, but also with a machine gun. In addition, from all the fighters she demanded the same perfect skills of possession of weapons and showed a personal example.

The activity of the partisan detachment of Lisa

In October 1941, the Soviet troops had to leave the defense of the village of Peno and withdraw to Ostashkov. It was then that Lisa's detachment began active guerrilla activity. The soldiers went to the reconnaissance, took part in military operations in many areas of the Kalinin region. Often made sabotage. Thanks to the fact that Lisa Chaykina knew the terrain well, she stole important documents directly "from under the nose" of the fascists and forwarded the papers to the Red Army men.

But Liza's main task was agitation. She acted in clandestine meetings, distributed leaflets and newspapers to many villages. In her speeches Liza reported the latest frontline news and "lit" people with patriotism and unbending will. People loved her and waited in all the villages.

How to betray Liza Chaikin

The heroes of the war were not only in the battles on the front line. Partisan detachments became a real disaster for the Nazis. After all, thanks to the fighters of the "invisible front" people learned the latest news. The Germans suffered huge losses as a result of clashes with partisans. A big problem for the fascists was the leakage of information that came to fighters of the "invisible front." The last guerrillas were delivered to the Red Army men, thereby ripping off the enemy many plans.

And Elizaveta Ivanovna Chaykina became so dangerous for the fascists that a real personal "hunt" was arranged for the girl. But she always managed to slip away. And yet, despite the thousands of people who loved and protected her, there were also traitors. They played a fatal role in the life of the partisan.

On November 22, 1941, Lisa was to reconnoiter the strength of the enemy garrison. The girl decided to spend the night with her friend - Marousi Kuporova in the village of Krasnoe Pokatische. Local groom and his son saw a girl they did not know and told the fascists about it. The Germans broke into Marusya's hut at night, shot her, brother and mother, and captured Lisa.

The Germans decided to find out who it was - the stranger they had captured. But since they could not get answers from her, the fascists gathered all the local residents, hoping that they would tell about her. But the villagers stubbornly remained silent. And only one girl said that this is the Komsomol leader and named her name.

The fascists were delighted to have always been caught by an escaping partisan, for which they had "hunted" for so long. Chaikin was sent to the settlement of Peno, where the Gestapo department was located. The fascists used the most sophisticated torture to find out the information they needed: how many people were in the partisan detachment, its location, safe houses. But the girl still did not reveal secrets, despite the infernal pains of pain.

The Nazis shot Liza on November 23 the 41st. A few minutes before her death, the girl said that she still believes in victory. These words turned out to be prophetic.

Assigning Liza Chaikina the title of "Hero of the Soviet Union"

Despite the fact that after the war all those who betrayed Liza were shot, this did not return the life of the girl who gave her away for the happiness of other people. She was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order of Lenin posthumously. After the liberation of the village of Peno from the fascist occupation, the girl was buried in a mass grave, which is located on one of the main streets of the village.
