Already in the senior classes, he firmly decided that his vocation was Russian literature, and he did not change his opinion to this day. He graduated from the school with a gold medal, which allowed him to enter the philological faculty without much difficulty in Moscow State University. Here, Anninsky was also one of the first students in academic achievement. After graduation, he was recommended for admission to graduate school. Anninsky successfully passed the entrance exams, but he did not succeed in continuing his studies: in 1959 the party course was changing, and for those who continue to study, only those who have already worked at the production are now accepted.

Thus, in 1959 Lev Anninsky steps on his professional path: he begins to work in the journal "Soviet Union". Here he is charged with a very boring duty - to compose captions for photos in the magazine. Half a year he painfully invented ideologically correct signatures, but in the end was fired with the phrase "for profnepryodnost." Then Anninsky finds his own business: he begins to write reviews and critical materials.

Creative life

The long path of art critic Lev Anninsky, whose biography throughout its entire history is associated with various types of art, began in Literaturnaya Gazeta.
