In September 2007 elections were held again. Lebedev was again in the top three of the contenders. In December he won elections and became a deputy of the State Duma of the 5th convocation. He also remained a leader of the LDPR and a member of the Committee on Legislation and Construction.

In December 2011, Igor Vladimirovich Lebedev was again elected deputy of the 6th convocation. In the pre-election race, his name was declared on the list from the LDPR. Somewhat later, in the same month, Lebedev was elected deputy chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. And in 2012 he was nominated as a candidate in the presidential elections. True, he scored 9 votes in the first round.
