Lake Orlinskoe: a description of the reservoir. Life-giving and flora of the Lake of Orlinsky

In one of the districts of the Leningrad region you can find Lake Orlinskoe. On its shores are several localities: the village of Orlino, the village of Zaitsevo and the urban-type settlement. Thanks to this, it will be quite easy to get to the reservoir by car. On the shore of the lake there is a park, which has a solid beach for tourists and tourists.

Description

Lake Orlinskoe - a reservoir, which stretches from the south to the east. Its area is 5 km, width - 500 m, depth - 4 m. On its banks there is a dense forest, in some areas it completely approaches the water, and in others, on the contrary, is located in the distance. Here you can meet aspen, birch and coniferous trees. In the northern part of the Lake of Orlinsky, the banks are rather low, sometimes marshy. In the south - high with small hills. The lake is in the upper part of the tributary of the Oredezh River. Thanks to Divenka's waters, streams and numerous keys, the main food of the reservoir takes place. This is the cleanest lake in the area.

Some summer residents gladly cross a distance of 5 km on foot, in order to come to rest on Lake Orlinsky. Bathing in it brings an amazing pleasure. The bottom is sandy, but in some places you can stumble on small stones and snags. On one of the shores, beautiful alleys are broken, there is a beach for rest.

Vegetable world

Almost 30% of the lake Orlinskoe is overgrown with various aquatic plants, such as the egg, reed, elodea, reeds. Surrounded by its coniferous and mixed forests, in some places they are quite thick. However, the dominant tree is spruce, and birch and aspen only complement the beauty of the needles with its green foliage. Sometimes you can meet willows that grow in close proximity to the water.

Animal world

Orlyn Lake, fishing in which will always delight in catch, is rich in many kinds of fish. Back in 1950, about a thousand fry of carp were brought here. In the last century there were quite a few of them, as the fish took root, but to date, unfortunately, only single copies have remained.

Here live minnows, pike, perch, roach, bream and others. At the moment the most common fish in the lake is the pike. Fishermen who catch on mugs and zherlitsy, never leave empty-handed. Also, a successful place for fishing will be overgrown areas under steep slopes. On the site where the lake connects with the river, roach and ide are well caught.

Settlements

Near the lake there are several settlements.

  • The village is a friendly hill. Thanks to the fact that in the century before last a glass factory of the same name was built on this territory, massive construction began. Even then there was a game here, which local people often hunted, mushrooms and berries grew. The plant and the future settlement were separated by a dense pine grove. Not the least role in locating the population was played by a certain factor - the nearby location of such a great city as St. Petersburg.
  • The village of Orlino. In the village, unusual people have lived for a long time . They believed that Lake Orlinskoe, near which they live, is lined with tiles on the bottom. But, alas, it is too much overgrown with algae, so no one has been able to refute this legend to this day. Since the existence of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), the number of residents has decreased significantly. If in 1928 there lived about 1000 people, then by 2010 this figure has significantly decreased - 300 people.
  • The villages of Zaozerye and Simankovo. These settlements are connected by bus route. This provides a link to larger villages. Unfortunately, they also can not boast of a large population. This mark already reaches the critical state. According to the information, to date, there are 64 people living in Zaozerye, and only 16 in Simankovo. These figures are due to the fact that the younger generation leaves villages where there are no prospects, taking with them their parents and other relatives. Remain only those who simply have nowhere to go.

There are many legends about the origin of the name of the reservoir. One of the most common - about Peter I, who at the time of hunting killed an eagle, flying over the lake's surface. This legend appeared around 1499 and almost completely replaced the other options.
