Krasnobay (tomato): characteristics and characteristics of the variety

Growing tomatoes, every vegetable gardener wants to receive huge fruits, which will please with their taste characteristics and perfect appearance. Modern breeders have produced many varieties, differing in color, size and height of shrubs. One of the most successful hybrids is the tomato variety Krasnobay F1.

General characteristics of the plant

Krasnobay - medium early tomato. From the moment of planting the seedlings to the first harvest, an average of 3 months. Shrub is shtabovy and tall, its length can reach 1.5 meters.

This hybrid was introduced in Russia in 2008. It is best suited for growing in greenhouses. If we take this quality into account, we can say that Krasnobay is a tomato that can be grown in any region in the presence of a glassed-in greenhouse. If we are talking about film construction, then this sort is suitable for southern regions.

The same can be said about growing outdoors. The plant needs to be provided with an appropriate temperature (this variety loves heat) and a lot of light throughout the vegetation period, otherwise the fruits will not have time to ripen before the onset of colds.

Tomatoes Krasnobay: description

In a mature form, these tomatoes are very beautiful and large. The color of the skin and pulp is bright red, the surface is even, without visible defects. The shape is slightly flattened, and the weight can reach 500 grams, although the average figure stops at around 350 grams.

The fetal structure includes 5 chambers, the dry matter content varies from 5 to 6 percent. Due to the rather dense consistency of Krasnobay - tomato, which perfectly tolerates transportation over long distances and can be stored for a very long time.

Also, tomatoes of this sort can be harvested in an immature form - in the presence of a warm room they can "walk" at home.

Tomato Krasnobay, whose reviews are mostly positive, is very popular due to very good yields. If you provide the plant with all the necessary conditions and do not neglect quality care, you can get 12-14 kilograms of large fruits from one shrub.

Such tomatoes are excellent for fresh consumption and for barrels. In their entirety, preserving them is not very convenient due to their large size.

Balanced chemical composition, the right combination of sugars and acids make it possible to make from these vegetables a very tasty and healthy tomato juice.

Advantages and disadvantages

Great popularity in many regions of Russia enjoys tomato Krasnobay. The description of the variety will be incomplete unless all its pluses and minuses are characterized.

From the positive qualities can be identified as follows:

  • Fruits large, even and very bright;
  • The taste of such tomatoes will not leave indifferent any lover of these vegetables;
  • The variety is resistant to an extensive list of diseases;
  • From one shrub you can collect a record amount of harvest.

The main and only disadvantage is the inability to grow the variety in the open ground in the central and northern regions of the country. To obtain a plentiful harvest, it is desirable to have a high greenhouse.

Cultivation of tomatoes

Krasnobay - tomato, which, like other varieties, is grown from seeds. Seedlings should be prepared for 1,5 - 2 months before planting it in the soil. On average, such work is recommended to begin in early March.

To sprout as soon as possible and continue to grow actively, they need to provide favorable conditions that are reduced to the following indicators:

  1. A lot of sunlight (so it's best to give priority to the southern window sill). If there is no possibility to provide natural light, it is necessary to install special lamps over seedlings.
  2. Daytime air temperature should be within 18-25 degrees.

Before planting seeds collected with their own hands, they are recommended to be disinfected. To do this, planting material for a day is soaked in a 0.5% solution of soda.

The same procedure must be subjected to the land. Usually experienced gardeners simply roast it for 15 minutes in an oven, set at a temperature of 180-200 degrees. It is also possible to impregnate the soil with a strong solution of potassium permanganate.

Prepared soil is poured into a container, carefully moistened and sown seeds to a depth of 1 centimeter. Then the container is covered with glass or a film and for 2 months twice a day moisten the soil by spraying it from the spray gun.

Once the seedlings get stronger, it can be transferred to a greenhouse. Before this, soil is best digged with the addition of organic fertilizers. For the Krasnobay variety it is recommended to use a planting scheme in which 3 plants are on one square meter of the ground. Further care will consist in timely watering. Also, such tomatoes respond well to complex top dressing.

Features of the variety

In addition to the generally accepted rules, during cultivation of this variety a tomato should take into account its individual characteristics:

  1. Krasnobay is a tomato that does not tolerate a neighborhood with other species of this culture, so they need a separate site.
  2. Given that the plant grows to 1.5 meters and at the same time gives a rich harvest of large fruits, it needs a garter. In this case, the branches are necessarily supported using various structures.

Diseases and pests

Krasnobay - a tomato that has immunity to many diseases. Usually truck farmers face such a disease as phomosis. For the treatment of plants, the level of soil moisture and the amount of nitrogen contained in it are reduced. It is necessary to remove sick tomatoes.

From pests, you can find a whiting, a moth and a sawmill - the drug "Lepidocide" works well against them. Mineral is also a common problem. In order to get rid of it, use a tool called "Bison".

Tomato Krasnobay at times surpasses other varieties in quality and size of fruits, but, unfortunately, it is easy to grow it only in the southern regions. Ogorodnikam from other regions, this variety will be available only if there is a glazed greenhouse.
