Korzhikov Vitaliy: "I saw the Earth"

Exciting adventures, unknown countries and enticing marine distances - almost every child dreams about this. But what adventure can there be without reliable and loyal friends, resourceful and fun? They are ready not only to fearlessly come to the aid of their comrades, but also to join the struggle with a cunning and greedy opponent who is holding the whole city in awe.

These characters live in the books of a wonderful children's writer - Korzhikov Vitaly Titovich. His good works teach little readers to cope with troubles and adversity, make them friendlier and kinder. And most importantly, they tell about different countries of the world and the wonders with which nature is rich.

Korzhikov Vitaliy Titovich

The biography of this remarkable person can itself become a plot of the book. He was born on April 12, 1931 in the city of Kharkov. A Bolshevik and a faithful man, his father fought in the Red Army and held a responsible position in the Kremlin. I was acquainted with famous writers and statesmen. Korzhikov remembers how he interviewed Fidel Castro.

The notebook, in which the Cuban leader wrote a cheerful greeting to the Soviet people, Vitaly Titovich kept until the last days. As a boy, he happened to get acquainted with Chukovsky and Marshak, Kataev and Polev, Smelyakov and Akhmatova. They were on friendly terms with his father, who himself wrote plays, and sincerely appreciated this friendship.

Gaidar's Gauntlets

Korzhikov Vitaly Titovich often remembers how he went with his mother to Magnitogorsk to his father, who was at that time at the construction site of the century. On the platform they were met by my father. They were approached by a man in uniform, greeted his father and took the child in his arms. Seeing that the boy without mittens, immediately got out of his back pocket and handed them to Vitali, who later learned that this uncle was Gaidar.

Vitaly Titovich joked that along with the mittens the children's writer gave him, the future writer, the main commandments: to cherish this world and to love, to teach the children justice and good.

Parents

Vitaly Titovich's father was a sincere person, therefore, when collectivization took place in Ukraine, he wrote a letter of protest to the Central Committee of the party. He was arrested in 1937 and sentenced to the highest degree - the execution. Following his father was arrested mother. Vitaly was taken to Melitopol by relatives. He is deeply grateful to them for the fact that in the years when they could be arrested for this, they were not afraid, but took him to themselves.

The First Poems

Korzhikov Vitaly Titovich remembers with warmth the years spent in their house. He says that his cousin and his friends taught him to dream of sails, of deeds. When the Second World War began, my uncle was taken to the front. They were sent to evacuation in Alma-Ata. A bomb hit the car in which they were stationed.

He was born in the arms of his brother, who later died in battle. A Vitali beaten and frostbitten brought to Alma-Ata. From there he sent his uncle a letter to the front, in which he wrote his very first poem. Uncle often read this letter to the soldiers in the dug-out. Since then, and began a creative biography of Vitali.

Postwar years

After the war, Korzhikov Vitaly returned to Ukraine. He graduated from high school and went to university in Moscow to the Faculty of Journalism. He was not accepted into the Moscow State University as the son of enemies of the people. Returning to Melitopol, he entered the Pedagogical Institute. But, as the writer himself writes, Moscow beckoned him to him, and in 1950 he transferred to the Moscow State Pedagogical University to the Literary Department.

At that time, the Pedagogical Institute was a haven for many well-known people in the future. His talent was strengthened, and, as his classmates recall, he was one of the best professional poets.

After the institute, in 1953, Korzhikov Vitaly fell on the distribution to Sakhalin. Then he moved to Vladivostok. The windows of the school, in which he taught, went out into the bay. His pupils often looked not at the blackboard, but at passing ships. The teacher, however, did not lag behind them, also looked at the sea, which he had dreamed of since childhood.

Sailor Korzhikov

Vitaly Titovich went to the shipping company to ask for a naval fleet. But even here the "son of enemies of the people" stood up. In zagranflot it was not allowed, but taken by a sailor to the ship "Igarka", which delivered goods to the inhabitants of Chukotka and the polar explorers. As the writer himself recalled, they passed the entire Arctic.

Korzhikov Vitaly saw there are many interesting things: both tragic and merry. Once during a storm the sailors sat for three days on an uninhabited island. The work was heavy, they dragged a hundred kilogram bags, but the people were wonderful. I had to endure a lot. So poems and stories were born in sea wanderings. For 10 years of service in the fleet had to visit and two round the world.

Creative way

Once Vitaliy Titovich flew to Moscow and went to the publishing house "Children's Literature". I met with the director, and he asked me to write a funny book about sea voyages. And it was said: Korzhikov Vitaly met many good people on the oceans, he composed stories, poems, poems, went home, copied everything and went to the publishing house. It was a good time.

It even happened that the sailor Korzhikov received a radiogram from the journal asking him to write something. And flying from Singapore and India, from Japan and Indonesia to Moscow, stories about amazing islands and countries. Many of them were printed in children's magazines "Pioneer", "Murzilka". Then they began to go out one after another books:

  • 1957 - poetic collection for adults "Wings".
  • 1958 - collection of children's poems "Sea horse".
  • 1961 - the story "The First Float" (remembering about the Arctic).
  • 1971 - poems and stories for children "Sea chest".
  • 1974 - children's story "Waves, like a kangaroo" (memories of America).
  • 1979 - the story "Dinosaur Claw" (a trip to the Gobi Desert, Mongolia).

"Sailing" Solnishkin "(1965) - a collection of story-stories for children, one of the most beloved of many readers. Soon the adventures of the sailor Solnishkin grew into a series of books. In 1980, the same cartoon appeared on the screens, which in 1997 became a TV series about the fun adventures of a young sailor. The work was included in the Golden Fund of the children's book.

Vitaly Korzhikov died on January 26, 2007. He loved the world, loved people. In one of his poems he wrote: "I saw the Earth." I saw so many wonderful and beautiful people, this wonderful person met Kororzhikov Vitaliy Titovich on different continents on different continents! His books told young readers not only about exotic tropical countries and about overseas life. In them he tried to tell about people whom he loved very much and in everyone saw something bright and good.
