Vladimir Galaktionovich Korolenko lived a very hard life. But even being in a cruel exile in the territory of Yakutia, he remained a fighter for justice and human rights. Therefore, throughout the entire work, there are often some even scientific arguments about the nature of the relationship between the missing visual impressions and their replacing auditory ones. Reasoning about how a person with disabilities at some point may begin to feel bitter against the whole world.

In fact, he goes on a journey with beggars to comprehend the immensity of the world. And when he returns to the estate, he becomes a completely different person. His soul is healed. He marries Evelina, and they have a beautiful baby. The trip to Kiev was postponed only for a year. And Peter nevertheless goes on training, and soon his debut on the real stage will take place.
