Klipovoye thinking: came, saw, forgot

Increasingly, recently one can hear about such a concept as clip thinking. This is a serious problem that prevents the younger generation from fully absorbing and analyzing information. As a result of this thinking, young people are unable to learn. What is clip-on thinking, how dangerous is it and how to deal with this problem?

The concept of clip-art thinking

This term appeared from the English word "clip" - clamp, trim. If we compare this thinking with modern clips, then it is a series of events and pictures not connected with each other. Holders of clip-on thinking perceive the world surrounding them as a mosaic of virtually unrelated facts.

The reason for the emergence of such a feature of consciousness is the media. All the information we receive is presented to us in the clip format. These are commercials, short stories, news compilations and so on. Even the usual short texts in films and programs are often not interconnected. The World Wide Web is also no exception. The information on the Internet is very fragmented and is presented in a form convenient for perception - small pieces.

Klipovoye thinking as protection of an organism from an information flow

The compressed way of information delivery is very convenient for commercial purposes, as a person does not have time to comprehend and analyze what is happening. The main goal is to make the consumer feel emotions, and not build logical chains. But with the spread of the Internet, clip-on thinking has become common, as the environment has become almost filled with information. To somehow adapt the consciousness, thinking, language and protect the body from information overload, this form of thinking has appeared.

Logical thinking

In any case, a person needs logical thinking. Teachers often note that modern adolescents quickly forget the material they've covered. Thus, clip-on thinking is manifested. Man gets used to the constantly changing flows of information and the brain does not seek to remember it, it quickly erases it and waits for a new arrival. A child with a clip perception of information is not capable of normal learning, he can not even master the school curriculum, not to mention the VUZ Institute.

The ways to combat clip-art thinking

As you know, a person from birth does not have either a clip-on or a logical thinking. Each kind of thinking is formed depending on the method of obtaining and analyzing the information received. In order to combat the clip-on thinking (and this must be done compulsorily for the growing generation and the adults), one must learn to build logical chains and be aware of the relationship. The most effective and affordable way is a daily reading of classical literature or ancient philosophical teachings. Every 10-20 minutes you need to take a break and retell the just-read excerpt of the book. For information to be better absorbed, it is possible to discuss and analyze the actions of the heroes of the work, to build a logical chain of their actions.
