Kapy for teeth whitening, their types, advantages and disadvantages

Each of us wants to have a beautiful smile. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible without proper dental care. Negative effects on the color of the teeth are eaten every day for food, tea and coffee, as well as smoking. Special pastes containing bleaching components have only a temporary effect. The only way to keep the enamel in proper condition is bleaching. Modern types of tooth whitening are quite diverse: internal, hardware, laser, home. Each of them has both advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, before the procedure, even at home, you should visit the dentist and make sure that it will be absolutely safe for the health of your teeth.

Currently, every self-respecting dental clinic offers whitening services, it remains only to decide which one to use and how to whiten teeth safely . It is highly discouraged to whiten tooth problems. The components that make up bleach products are mainly of chemical origin. Their effect on the weak or cracked tooth enamel can further exacerbate the situation. Also contraindication to the procedure is the presence of gum disease. First you need to get rid of these diseases, otherwise with time and bleach will be nothing.

Most of us hate going to the dentist. Fear of pain and a man in a white robe acts depressingly. For those people for whom a clinic visit becomes an unbearable psychological torture, home bleaching using modern technological means is shown. One such remedy is a tooth whitening cap. Such a cap is a special plate made of a flexible and transparent material on which the gel containing the whitening components is applied. Kapa with a gel applied to one side of its surface is placed in the mouth and thanks to its curved shape it fits snugly to the teeth.

There are three main types of cap:

  • The standard kapa is fully ready for use immediately after its acquisition, since it is manufactured according to one common pattern;
  • Thermoplastic cap is created from a material that, under the influence of water, becomes plastic and soft, hardens on the teeth, acquiring their shape and providing reliable bleaching;
  • Individual cap is made in accordance with the patient's tooth impression in a special laboratory.

By the way, if you decide to whiten your teeth with the help of the last type of kapa, you still have to visit the dentist. It is in the dental office that an impression of the teeth is made, which is then sent to the laboratory for the production of an individual kapa. A special advantage of using such a cap is the complete correspondence of its shape to the shape of the patient's teeth, which prevents the bleaching gel from flowing onto the gums and the subsequent irritation thereof.

To wear kapy for teeth whitening should be for several days, depending on the type of solution that is used with them. In some cases, the cape is worn on the teeth only for the night. Prolonged wearing can lead to damage to the tooth enamel. During teeth whitening it is recommended to observe a special diet and to exclude from the daily ration products containing dyes. Also, the use of red wine and smoking is prohibited. Before eating, the cap is removed from the teeth. After eating, you should rinse the mouth thoroughly, to remove all the food particles from it, and fix the kapa on your teeth again. Wearing a kapa should not cause too much discomfort and hurt. The appearance of severe pain in the area of the teeth requires compulsory consultation with a specialist.

Individual kapy for teeth whitening are shown mainly to older people who want to get rid of the yellowing of enamel caused by aging. The composition of the gel, which in this case is applied to the surface of the kapa, includes 15% carbamide peroxide. This type of whitening makes teeth whiter by two tones. His first results are noticeable after three or four days of wearing a kapa.

The use of a kapa for teeth whitening has its drawbacks. These include: the need to constantly wear them for several days, inconvenience in communicating with others, the possibility of developing increased sensitivity of teeth, the duration of the bleaching procedure. Wearing a cap is contraindicated for pregnant women, people with increased sensitivity of teeth, a large number of seals. The advantages of this method of teeth whitening: the relatively low cost of the procedure, the possibility of using one cap for a long period of time, the high resistance of the result, the ability to perform whitening at a convenient time of day.
