Symptic ophthalmia, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, iridocyclitis, iritis, uveitis, keratitis, inflammation of the corneal epithelium, which developed due to exposure to chemicals or physical effort.

Contraindications to the use of such a drug as hydrocortisone ointment for the eyes, the instruction for its use gives the following: increased sensitivity of the patient to individual components of the preparation, the period of carrying out preventive vaccinations, various etiology of eye damage: fungal, viral and bacterial, injuries of the ocular epithelium, Its integrity, tuberculosis lesions of the eyes and trachoma.

With caution, this drug is prescribed in cases where the patient suffers from diabetes mellitus, hypertension, if it is a pregnant woman or breastfeeding her baby mother.

Such a drug, like hydrocortisone ointment, is recommended for use with extreme caution in the following cases: during pregnancy, only if the possible benefit of treating the mother is greater than the risk to which the fetus is exposed in this case. But even in this case, the taking of such a drug as hydrocortisone ointment should not last more than seven to ten days. If the urgent need arose in using this particular drug during lactation, then during the therapy, breastfeeding should be urgently stopped.

Doses and the way of using such a drug as hydrocortisone ointment, the instruction for its use describes as follows: it is applied exclusively locally. In the conjunctival sac is introduced one - two centimeters of ointment for the eyes twice - three times a day.

Drug interaction with other medications gives the following effects: the risk of cataracts can significantly increase if taken in conjunction with antipsychotic drugs, azathiopride and carbutamide, and taking it together with tricyclic antidepressants and antihistamines, nitrates contributes to a very sensitive increase in eye pressure.
