In the vicinity of Gelendzhik

Gelendzhik was also highly appreciated in Soviet times as one of the most prestigious resorts in the Krasnodar Territory. Party leaders, ministers and officials, singers, artists, writers and other cultural figures came here with pleasure. The Soviet Union has been gone for a long time, but the glory of the resort has not faded from this. Already in our 21st century, the resort was renewed. There were comfortable hotels and tourist centers, sanatoria and rest houses. The entertainment industry has stepped far ahead. But against the background of modern infrastructure Gelendzhik not lost and other wonderful places where you can perfectly relax and enjoy the beauty of the Caucasus nature. This village Kabardinka, Old Park, which is broken here.

Kabardinka village

From Gelendzhik this village is separated by only 13 kilometers and is a part of the city municipality. The location of the village is extremely convenient. It seems that nature took care of this blessed place. What is known Kabardinka? An old park, where thousands of tourists go on a guided tour for the season with pleasure. Tsemesskaya bay, from where the amazing sea panorama opens. In the valley of this bay, gently sloping down to the bay, and spread out the village. Cape Doob obscures the village from piercing winds and storm waves during a bad weather. The Marcotsky Range hides it from the bad weather and the spree of the elements in the northeast. Thanks to this, Kabardinka is extremely comfortable. The old park, by the way, is also preserved in its original form and does not become a victim of bad weather precisely because of such a successful geographical location of the village. This is the driest place in the Gelendzhik area, with the most optimal ratio of precipitation and sunny days. In general, the mountains covered with forest and the sea, which already warms by the end of spring and keeps heat until the middle of autumn, allow opening the holiday season in May and lasting almost to November. During this time, Kabardinka, the Old Park and other interesting places have time to receive a huge number of guests. Most of them are trying to come here again next year.

Mostly families with children and people of middle and retirement age who prefer a quiet environment to the noise of large resorts. The main thing is Kabardinka - the Old Park. How to get there: from Gelendzhik or Novorossiysk (depending on where you are) you need to come to the village itself. What is interesting about the park

That's it - what? Let's learn more about its sights. The first miracle, perhaps, is that all its amazing corners are the creation of the hands of one person, the local sculptor-enthusiast Alexander Alexeev. This he invented and embodied in the objects of architecture on a small piece of land of the era of our human civilization. Ancient Greek temples and Islamic mosques, an Orthodox church with golden domes and a pyramid of Cheops with finely reproduced frescoes and even a sphinx, medieval castles, romantic bridges and arbors in the spirit of classicism, mysterious grottoes, intricate fountains, sculptures in the style of Slavic paganism. Even stones similar to those described in Russian folk tales, with philosophical inscriptions that make one think about the "eternal", are placed on "unknown paths". Thanks to the general color, not only this place has a special energy, but the whole Kabardinka. The old park, the photo of which you see, strikes with harmony and proportionality. Wandering through its alleys, as if traveling in a time machine. And not a single exhibit here is perceived as superfluous, each complements the rest. It's not just beautiful - it's amazing, wonderful, great!

Park flora

Not only works of art created by man attract visitors to the arboretum. Plants planted in the park, too, are of great interest. These are southern exotic: banana and date palms, agaves, cypresses, plane trees and hornbeams, mulberry trees, citrus, tulip, magnolias, laurels. Deciduous breeds alternate with evergreen. Roses, rhododendrons, phloxes, bamboo, mimosa and many other flowers fill the park with festive rainbow colored colors and a delicate scent. Decorative flower beds are a real product of the creative imagination of the sculptor. The whole park is extremely clean and tidy. The order here is carefully monitored, trying to keep the landmark in perfect condition.

Overall Impression

Getting out of the Old Park you have a rather strange impression. You suddenly begin to understand that the West and the East can peacefully get along, that Antique and modernity do not oppose each other at all! And that we are all together and each individually - links in an endless chain of humanity. What art unites, and long-gone civilizations are not erased without a trace from the face of the Earth ruthless time. Art is eternal, life is eternal, nature is eternal and Creativity. That's how much you can understand from one walk through the amazing Old Park ...
