John Greene: books. List of all author's books

There is such a modern, fairly well-known writer named John Green. Books, the list of which we will consider, its authorship. Some of them have already been filmed. Others, perhaps, will also be: at least the fans are waiting for this. Why are they so wonderful? Should I read them? We will try to answer these unquestionably important questions.

"Blame the stars"

This is one of the most famous works that John Green wrote. All the books listed below are just as good, but this became especially popular after the release of a little over a year ago of the film - a heartfelt love story of two teenagers suffering from an incurable disease. Neither Hazel nor Augustus is going to give up so easily, although they know that the cancer will defeat them sooner or later. But now they are young and loved - and they live, trying to enjoy every day. And what will happen in a second? When exactly will this bomb explode, sweeping everything in its path? Should I think about it and waste my time?

The film "Blame the Stars" became a hit - this is the case when the screen version did not completely ruin the original.

"Paper cities"

The screen version of this book came out this summer - on the wave of popularity of what John Greene wrote, books (the list of books, however, includes not only those that "know everything") began to quickly transform into script for films. However, this is good.

"Paper cities" is a story about the unusual girl Margo, and about the usual, but up to the ears in love with her boyfriend, Kew. On one fine (or horrible?) Day, Margot disappears, though not without a trace - she leaves a clue behind her. Does this mean that Kew must find it?

"In search of Alaska"

The name suggests the thought that in this work, too, someone is looking for. About the search for what Alaska wrote John Green? Books, the list of which we are considering, are they alike? Of course, they are united by the author, and the fact that they are all for teenagers, and there often slips (or even more) a love line, but only searches in "Alaska" are metaphorical. Alaska itself is a girl. Miles, nicknamed Fat Man, is in love with her - a mysterious, inaccessible, comparable, perhaps, with a hurricane, while he himself is a "shallow drizzle." And although a private school, friends and first love should only promise joy and fun, in an adult life, fate can dive headlong in the most abrupt and insolent way.

"Numerous Catherines"

He still likes to write about the mysterious ladies John Greene. Books, a list of which is given in this article, tells the story about different things, but these female images are somewhat similar to each other.

Colin, a young man with outstanding abilities, goes on a journey with his friend. Unravel the mystery of the numerous Catherine - is it possible for the kidnapper? Either way, this trip will more than change his life.

"Let it snow"

This work was written not only by John Greene. Books (although the list is not numerous, but each of them is definitely worth the attention) mentioned above, even slightly different from "Let it snow" in style, composition, etc. The co-authors were Johnson Maureen and Miracle Lauren. The book has three parts - each part was written by a different writer. The second part was created directly by John Green. All the author's books are written about love, and this one is no exception.

Here, a fairy tale and a Christmas atmosphere are added to the wonderful feeling. Three writers give readers charming stories about the miracle, the patronage of fate and that love can melt any snowfall and defeat any hurricane.

Features

Apparently, the list was not too great. But what matters is not quantity, but quality? And in it it is not necessary to doubt. Everything that John Green wrote - the books listed above is definitely worth reading. And for that there is a good reason.

Despite the fact that in each of the works there is a love line, books are not only about relationships - they, on the contrary, occupy a weak background in the plot. On the foreground come universal, almost global problems - questions about life and death, about the meaning, about the goals, about who we are. And all this despite the fact that teenage books written in easy, simple language are interesting for young people and even for older children, and they talk about such important things. John Green found an amazing unique approach to the new generation - his works are really interesting, but they are also very instructive.

Finally

The main advantage of the books of this writer is that he does not impose his opinion - he reasons, and when reading, you begin to think with him. Before reaching some conclusions you reach almost unconsciously, you swallow the chapter after chapter - they are so easy to read. That's why the "Blame the Stars", and "Numerous Caterina", and "Paper Cities" together with the restless "Alaska" are compulsory for reading not only to adolescents for whom they actually wrote, but also to adults, held people - they will help remember About things that are so easy to forget in the rhythm of this crazy modern life.
