It is interesting to know how many percent of water in a person?

As you know, water is the source of life on Earth. Therefore, it is not at all surprising that the human body consists of a liquid. But how many percent of the water in a person, not everyone knows.

One definite figure of how much fluid in the body there is. How much percent of the water in a person depends on many factors: on the individual characteristics of the organism, on where the person lives and what he feeds, and, of course, takes into account his age. So, for example, a newborn child consists of water by as much as 80%, the average citizen of middle age - by 65-70%, and in a very old age a person consists of water only 55%. Therefore, knowing the weight, it is not difficult to calculate arithmetically how many liters of water in a person.

But our body is a non-uniform substance. We have bones, blood, fat and other organs. And in all of them is a different percentage of water. For example, the brain, heart and muscles consist approximately 76% of water, 15-20% in bones, 84% of the total mass in the blood, and 90% of the lungs. And the largest percentage of water is in the lymph, and sometimes reaches 98%.

Why does the body need water? First, no process in it can take place without fluid. Water is involved in the metabolism. It is capable of spreading various nutrients throughout the body, plays a huge role in maintaining body temperature and ensures its normal existence. It also plays an important role in the growth of cells. Therefore, if a person can live for about 30-40 days without food, then without liquid - only about 4-5 days.

How much it is necessary to consume water for normal life? On average, to feel good, for one day a person should drink about two - two and a half liters. This is approximately 70-75 milliliters per kilogram of weight. With such a calculation, food is taken into account, in which there is also a liquid. But the need can sometimes be higher. It depends on the habitat, the food consumed and the individual state of the organism.

If a person does not have enough water for a long time, this can lead to serious consequences. The work of the nervous system will suffer, the activity of mental processes will be disrupted, and this can lead to convulsions, hallucinations (this symptom can often be seen in films about deserts, when people see mirages), breakdowns and even frequent loss of consciousness. Since the vital organ - the lungs - mostly consists of water, violations also occur in the respiratory system. The heart's work suffers. And this can lead to even a fatal outcome.

But the search of fluid in the body is also not so useful. On how much per cent of water in a person depends on his state of health. First of all, because of the heavy burden, the kidneys suffer. If you drink a lot of water for a long time, the kidneys can begin inflammation and other serious diseases.

How much percent of the water in a person, also directly depends on the amount of fat. In total people, water is less, and in lean, the percentage of liquid is greater. Not for nothing that even developed a whole method of losing weight with water. Clean water without any impurities does not contain any calories, it does not have fat and cholesterol. It is able to reduce appetite, helps the body in self-cleaning, not only from excessive slag, but also from excess weight. Therefore, it is necessary to drink at least one and a half to two liters a day. But remember: fluid fluid is different. Any juice, black tea, coffee, carbonated drinks and alcohol can not replace water. Rather, on the contrary, they need water to make them digest. If you do not like to drink it, replace it with green tea or drinks, which help maintain optimal water balance in the body.
