Iron deficiency anemia and the drug 'Ferrum lek'.

If a person in the body is diagnosed with a low level of hemoglobin, then this condition is called iron deficiency anemia. This is a pathological (abnormal) condition in which the body suffers from a lack of iron. And this is very serious, because, when bound to iron, oxygen enters all cells and tissues. No iron - no oxygen.

Lack of oxygen immediately affects the health. People with low hemoglobin levels experience lethargy, a rapid decline in performance, dizziness. Their skin is unnaturally pale, the skin is dry, cracked. Everything says that the cells of the body do not have enough oxygen.

In connection with the rapid spread of this pathology, the pharmaceutical industry has developed the drug "Ferrum lek", which actively struggles with iron deficiency anemia. To date, this is one of the best drugs, which is often prescribed by doctors. The name "Ferrum lek" says that the preparation contains iron - exactly what the body lacks in anemia. Every day, to ensure a minimum of this element, a person must eat foods containing iron (the norm is at least 20 milligrams). If this is a pregnant woman, then her daily dose is 30 milligrams. It is also worth mentioning that a woman with a month also loses her iron, so she needs to fill this element as anyone.

First of all, it is recommended to use veal - it is distinguished by the maximum content of this element in easily digestible form. In addition, iron-rich fish, liver. Earlier, with anemia, patients were advised to eat carrots, pomegranate, apples, but the iron that is part of these products, is not practically digested due to its chemical properties - it is trivalent. It is best to combine vegetables with meat dishes - then the assimilation of iron will be much better.

An excellent substitute for iron, if it is not possible to consume vegetables (for example, in winter) or if you need to urgently raise the level of hemoglobin, is the drug "Ferrum lek", which was mentioned above.

In this preparation, iron is also trivalent, but due to the concomitant components this compound is stable, that is, iron is not released as free ions. When ingested, the drug is actively absorbed from the intestine into the blood and carried throughout the body. Thanks to this, we do not have to talk about overdoses with the drug "Ferrum lek". Within a couple of weeks after the application, the symptoms of iron deficiency anemia are significantly reduced. The full effect comes with a regular intake of funds for about two months.

The form of the drug - chewing tablets, syrup ("Ferrum lek" for children is most often produced in this form with sweeteners).

When taking the drug sometimes you may experience a feeling of heaviness, stomach discomfort, diarrhea, or constipation. If part of the iron is not absorbed, it is removed by staining the feces in a dark color.

Apply ferrum lek only after consulting a doctor, because with some contraindications the drug can cause irreparable harm.

If there is a need for urgent lifting of hemoglobin, for example, before or after the operation, after a significant loss of blood in trauma, etc., then the ferrum is injected intravenously. First half of the ampoule is to test the reaction, since the drug can not be administered intravenously for hepatic insufficiency, bronchial asthma, polyvalent allergies, and infectious diseases. If there is no negative reaction to the drug, then enter the whole ampoule, and then two ampoules for ten days. In some cases, you can do intramuscular injections, deep into the muscle.
