Vice is a device designed to hold and hold parts in the process of their processing. They have many modifications, are divided according to the width of the sponges, the maximum dilution, the overall dimensions and weight.

It is installed on metal-cutting machines and serves to fix the workpieces during machining (drilling, milling, grinding, planing, etc.).

Machine vise consist of the following parts:

On the frame such a device is installed with the help of the keys and bolted. Fixation of processed products is carried out by rotating the handle of the screw or various mechanisms - pneumatic chambers, levers, eccentrics, springs, magnets, wedges and hydraulic cylinders. Vise lips have a smooth surface and are designed to secure "sensitive" parts.

Corrugated sponges (or grooves) are more suitable for holding pipes and rounded parts. Some models of vice are completed with an additional exchangeable pair. When working with large products, separate halves of the clamps are used. They are mounted on the desktop. In this case, one sponge makes a small move, due to which the strong fixation of the workpiece occurs.

Machine tools are divided into the following categories:

• Precision.

Each of these types of devices is used for certain types of work. If it is necessary to fix the workpiece at a certain angle, the machine's vice is mounted on the turntable. It provides free rotation of the equipment around the axis. Its scale allows for precise setting of the angle of rotation. After selecting the necessary position of the vice, the machine swivels are bolted. The body for turning is a convenient auxiliary mechanism. But it slightly reduces the rigidity of the device, so use it better as necessary. These machine tools are two-and three-turn (globes) and are more used on milling machines.

Vice precision machining, sinus and lathe are used both on grinding and on milling equipment. They are installed depending on the technical task (for marking, checking grinding work). Precision vice is preferable to use in cases where it is necessary to very accurately process the workpiece. Their advantage is a fast moving sliding sponge, the possibility of its re-installation in a short time, a rigid basing surface, reliable clamping of the part to the surface.
