This construction is a system consisting of several vertically installed slats. The latter are connected to the whole web by means of loops. Visually, this door looks like corrugated blinds.

Preparing the doorway

Installation of interior doors-accordions is also possible in an already existing opening directly inside the door box. But this way its width will be reduced. It is much better to dismantle the old door completely and remove the solution under the box to the base. Further measurements are made and are checked against the nominal dimensions of the doors and the number of elements in them. This list is mandatory in the installation instructions. When reconciling the dimensions it is important to remember the width of the dobors. So you can find out whether you need to expand the opening or, conversely, to reduce its size with foam and doborov. The latter is cut in such a way that the result is a box without a threshold. The upper part is fixed by the end parts to the upper edge on the vertical dobors. Then the structure is fastened with screws.

After the box is made, the element is inserted into the opening and with the help of wooden blocks, as well as wedges and various substrates, is fixed. To install the box more reliably, select several bars, the width of which is equal to the opening. These spacers are installed at the top, in the central part of the box, and below. This is done to prevent deformation of the assemblies during installation. To fasten the dock to the base of the wall, large length anchor bolts are used. Install three on each side and two on top.

Mounting of guide rails

In order to calculate everything correctly, it is necessary to begin work with the installation of the guide elements of the structure and other fasteners. In the complete set of the door system there must be a profile, which is the guide. As indicated in the instruction, first you need to measure the desired length of the profile - the excess part is cut off. It is best to use a chair for this. Then the cut will be as flat as possible.

Also cut the guide for mounting the blind element of the door and the mating part from the side of the handle. Further, all the measurements are checked once more, but they do this by attaching a profile - it is too early to fix it. In the guide, pre-drill holes for self-tapping screws. In the upper rail holes are made every 5-7 millimeters. On the side elements - every 15-20 centimeters. If the guide is mounted using special clip-clips, then immediately proceed to install them along the perimeter of the opening. Often apply the same elements for the top and profile. From the side where there will be a groove and the lock, use clips of smaller sizes.

The upper rail is assembled in such a way that the fastening elements are located no further than 5-7 centimeters from each other. On the side parts 4 or 5 clips are evenly enough in height.

Assembly of the blade, installation of rollers

Each strip, from which the canvas will consist, is cut so that they are equal to each other and resemble the height of the opening. The installation instructions for the door accordion recommends that you take into account the stock for the roller system, which is inserted into the upper guide. The lower part should have a ventilation gap of no more than 10 millimeters. In simple cases, the strips of plastic are joined by means of grooves or gaskets. Two parts are displaced and joined together by the edges, and then one element extends along the other. In MDF doors, the webs are connected to each other by means of an axis, which in turn is passed through special lugs on each element of the fabric.

After the fabric is assembled, you need to install accessories on the product, as well as rollers. Everything must be done strictly according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

Final assembly process, fasteners

It remains only to put the folding interior door accordion. Self-installation involves the rollers roll into the profile-rail. When everything is in place, the structure is folded and positioned in the central part of the profile. So it is easier to fix the guide profile in the doorway.
